Money Envelope for Graduation

We have a graduation to go to, and I was looking for a card and found this adorable money envelope over at - Rejoice and Create website.  She always makes such unique items.  As she mentions in her video, this envelope can be decorated for so many occasions.  I especially liked how she make the graduation cap.  For my sentiment I combined two stamps that I had and stamped them on my 2 1/2" punch.  I also decided to poke some holes in it, as I don't have the stitched circle dies.  I also used some enamel stars that I had on hand.

Here is a picture of what it looks like with the flap open.  Such a neat way to close the envelope.

I decided to make a little note for the inside as well.

I really like how it turned out.  These would be great to have on hand for a quick birthday gift.  You can make some in advance as they lie flat.  Here is another mug that I made to go along with the money envelope.

These are so quick to make and you can personalize them as much as you want!  Of course, my little friend - Jennifer - wanted one as well.  I found some extra paper that I had used for her baby shower and I had just enough for her mug!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Father's Day.  It was really hot here, so we spent most of the day celebrating indoors.  Have a great weekend.

I entered this card at CardzTV Anything Goes Challenge #53.

Thanks for stopping by,

Nancy

Wow, I really like how yours came out as well! Creating your own “stitching” is so clever, I am tucking that into my craft technique arsenal. I also like your note, “woohoo! “ sounds just perfect for the occasion! Thank you for sharing, and you were very sweet to mention my site. Smiles, Darby

Hello! I'm so far behind in my visiting since we returned from vacation. Catching up is fun, though! You're mighty good at finding cute and clever ideas for your projects and then putting them to work for you. Love this one for a money holder. I once made a similar design for 50 baby shower invitations. That was the last time I made that many multiples -- whew! Maybe it was 75. At any rate, never again! More of those cute cups, too. Fun that you can change out the paper. Much prettier than my boring metal cup!
