A Little Wild Bookmarks

The other week while Jennifer was visiting, she wanted me to make her another bookmark.  I had made her this cute little -  Caterpillar  - before.  We got out SU's set called A Little Wild and got to work.  They turned out so cute.  I ended up making some for her to take to her friends at school as well.

I used jumbo paperclips to adhere them on.  For the elephant I ended up using some 1/8" ribbon and tying some twine around it.

I even painted their little toes pink!

Next we made the lions.

Jennifer found some gold dots I had laying around and decorated them.  I also colored in their mane.

The last one we made was the bear.

She has a fascination with bears, as she sees them several times a week in her yard.  She decided to put a little bee on each one.

We had such a good time playing around.  I really like these dies!  It is really raining and cold here but nothing like in Texas.  Our thought and prayers go out to all that are affected by this terrible storm.

Birds and Blooms Thinlet Card

On Wednesday, my friend Martha came to stamp and we had a great time.  Before she left Florida, she made several packs of different cards she wanted to work on while here.  This is one that we made.  I thought it turned out so cute.

She had the base card and all the layers already cut out, so all we had to do was put them together.  It was quick and easy!

She used the Birds and Blooms Thinlets from SU for the adorable little bird, and we put some gold rhinestones to dress it up.  We decided not to put on any sentiment for now, as this type of card could  be used for so many occasions.  I'm definitely filling up my stash of cards again.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.

September Planner Page

I can't believe that Labor Day is almost here.!  The girls start school next week and summer is closing fast!  Not that is was the greatest summer with all the rain and heat.  I decided I had better do my September planner page before it gets too late.  I really didn't know what to stamp on it.  With the holidays coming the rest of the months should be easy.  Then I thought of the girls going back to school and that was what I stamped on my page.

I used to make a lot of cards for the girls to take to school and I dusted this stamp set off.  It is Crafty Clear - Bookworm and it has some really cute school stamps.  It also is good for scrapbooking.  Check out the Cows Whisperer's Creative Cards blog - this is where I got the idea to stamp on my planners pages.  She has a lot of cute ideas!

The other day Jennifer wanted to do some crafting.  She loves caterpillars, so we made this cute one out of an egg carton.

There are so many ways to decorate it. She had so much fun doing this.

Hope everyone enjoyed the eclipse.  We could only see a small sliver here in PA. but it was interesting to watch on TV.

Note Cards and Box

My friend Martha came up this week, and we made these adorable note cards and this holder.  I saw this on Brenda Quintana's blog and thought they were so cute!!  This box holds 5 cards and their envelops and there is room for more.  I think this would make such a cute gift to give someone.

Here are the cards that we made to go inside.

They are all centered, so you can put anyone in the open frame.

You can also put a window sheet on the inside frame and add candy.

Isn't it cute?  I just loved how it turned out.  This stamp set from SU is one of my favorites.  Well, now I'm hungry - I wonder if we have any ice cream in the frig?

Hershey Airplanes

Hope everyone had a good week!  As promised, here are the cute Hershey Airplanes that I made as goodies for Joe's birthday party.  I saw these on Brenda Quaintana's blog and knew they were perfect to make for his party.  He is definitely into planes and the girls got him a remote one that he is flying all over the place.  He seems to like crashing it into the garage.

These are all I have left.  I was so happy how they turned out and he was so surprised with them.

Here is the front view with the little windows.  Of course, I used his initials for the name of the plane.  I looked all through my stamps trying to decide what to use for the windows and found this tiny little stamp in the Any Occasions set.  For his initials, I ended up using my Just Rite stamps - 50pt. Curtz - using the Harmony Rectangle Stamp set.  I haven't used these in years, but they came in handy for this job!!

I am definitely hooked on these Hershey projects.  You can make so many things with them.  It has started raining here and rain is in the forecast for tomorrow.  Fortunately, the sun is coming out for Sunday.  Enjoy your weekend!

Birthday Card

We have been so busy around here lately.  As the saying goes - so much to do and so little time to do it!!  With all the rain and heat we have been having, keeping up with the outside has been somewhat a challenge.  I haven't had much time to blog but have been busy making some things.  Joe;s birthday was Saturday so first on my list was his birthday card.  I saw this card on Stampinpretty's blog and fell in love with it and decided to make it for him.

When the new catalog came out, I fell in love with this Birthday Delivery bundle.  The stamp set reminded me of the old time pictures and with the DSP and dies it was on my list of goodies!  The card is an A2 size and the layers are 3 3/4" x 2 3/4" and 3" x 2 1/2".  All the mats are cut 1/8" larger.

With the DSP and matching dies this card came together really quick.  With the left over scraps, I decorated the inside as well.

Jennifer liked cutting out the little presents - they are so cute.  Later on in the week, I'll show you what goodies I made for his party!   He loved them!  Hope everyone has a great week!
