Card for Jennifer

I made another card for Jennifer using the Colorado Craft stamp/die set called Catch a Star.  These mice are so adorable I can't stop playing with them!

I used SU' Pacific Point for my base CS.   For my layer, I cut out a circle to use as a mask for the moon and did some ink blending.  I then blended some light pink ink over the moon and colored my images and stamped the sentiments.

For my inside sentiment, I used the same set and added some more stars.  Besides the cute mice, I also love the sentiments they have in their collections.  Jennifer is so excited about her chorus recital this week.  Hard to believe that school will be over soon.

Mother's Day Cards

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday.  We were blessed with a beautiful day.  We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather.  Everyone was here and it was so much fun watching Jennifer and Juan play in the yard.

I managed to put together some cards using Gina K's Wreath Stencil.  I tried to find a small pansy in my stash to use but ended up using one of the flower stamps from SU's Tea Together set.

Sorry for the blurry picture.  My camera was not cooperating.

Here is a better closeup picture.  I used CS in their favorite color and layered them in Basic Black.  The sentiment was from the Tea Together set and I decided to used tiny gold gems for the center of the flowers.

For the inside sentiment, I used another great stamp from that same collection.  This month is moving right along.  I always judge the time by what cards I am making.  I have already moved on to making Father's Day cards.

Birthday Card for Jeannie

As I mentioned in my last post, I had another birthday card to make for my daughter Jeannie.  A few months ago, I had purchased a kit from Gina K and decided to finally try it out.  I was thrilled how it turned out!

I used the Waterfall Floral Paper Pak  along with some of the ephemera that was included in the kit and  outlined the layers with basic black CS.  The ephemera made the card come together so quick and easy!

For my inside sentiment, I used Gina K's stamp set So Many Sentiments along with  another piece of ephemera.  We met her and Jennifer for dinner and had a nice dinner.  We are looking forward to having everyone here for Mother's Day.  I hope the weather will cooperate.

Birthday Card for Rachel

These birthdays are coming fast - one right after another!  We celebrated Rachel's birthday this weekend.  Hard to believe that she turned 23!!  The weather was miserable here over the weekend, but the rain held off so we could get into and out of the restaurant without getting drenched.  We had a nice time especially when it came to the desserts!  I was looking through my stamps trying to decide what type of card to make and chose a Gina K stamp set called Spread Your Wings.  My friend had gifted me this recently and it was the perfect stamp to use as she likes butterflies.

I used SU's CS Highland Heather for my base card and stamped the image with black ink using my Prismacolor pencils with Gamsol for the coloring.  The only thing I wish I had done differently would have been to emboss the image so it would have stood out more.  I love the sentiments that are with this stamp set.  I also used SU's Very Best Trio Punch for my CS.

For my inside sentiments, I used SU's Parisian Beauty and Perennial Birthday.

Here is a picture of Rachel with her Mom and Jennifer plus her duck.  She doesn't go too far with it!!  LOL!  My other daughter's birthday is Thursday so back to the craft room!
