Paper Teacup/Mug for Father's Day

I was looking for something to make for the Dads to give along with their cards and gifts.  I always have my eye out for things to make that you can put some "goodies" in, so I have an excuse to buy some chocolate!  Last year I made these cute little boxes.  This year I found these cute little paper teacup/mugs.  There is a lot of different videos out there but I made this basic one.

I used stampin up DSP and made the hand with the corresponding side.  I watched a few of these videos on youtube and if made with different dimensions you can vary the size of your cup.

To finish them off, I put some kisses in a plastic bag and tied it with my best year ever ribbon pack.  I really like how they turned out.  They were so easy to put together.  I wish I had known about these years ago.  We always planned a back to school tea party for the girls and their friends and it would have been so cute to have these on the table with some doilies filled with goodies for the group.  I can see these made for favorites for a birthday party or even a wedding.  So many great ideas this little cup can be utilized for.

Hope everyone is getting ready for a great weekend to celebrate all the men in their lives. The girls are enjoying their first week of summer.  It has really warmed up here, but I promised myself I wouldn't complain after the miserable winter we had.

Pinwheel Fun Fold Card for Father's Day

I was trying to think of a card that I could make for the men in my life for Father's Day, and I came across this cute card by Dawn O.  She also did a video for Splitcoast Stampers.  She was definitely right when she said you can't just make one of them, and SU's designer paper is perfect for this type of card.

I decided against making a belly bands for them and instead used my scalloped circle punch with my
1 1/2" circle punch.  I added some twine to the circle which I got from the in color accessory pack.

I found some Father's Day stamps from my Paper Pumpkin last year and used them as sentiments for the front and the inside of the card.  I love how they turned out.  Now, I'll used my envelope punch board to make some envelopes.

Tomorrow is the last day of school.  Rachel has her step up ceremony to High School - Congratulations Rachel!!!  We are so proud of you!!
