Halloween Gable Boxes

Here is my last Halloween project for this year!!  If it were up to me I would keep making some goodies!  I made these for Jennifer and her friend for Halloween.  I will give them to her when she comes home from Florida.  I filled them with some of her favorite yummy treats!

These cute little boxes are all over the web decorated for numerous holidays.  I used my Cauldron Bubbles bundle for these along with SU's cable boxes and my Everyday Label punch.

I hope everyone has a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!  It's a really nice evening here for the kids!

Born to Ride Birthday Card

I had to stop making Halloween goodies and make a card for a friend's birthday.  I wanted to use the Born to Ride stamp set by SU but not the motorcycle and this is what I came up with.

I used the technique with the hinges on my stamparatus with the Happy Birthday stamp from the  Perennial stamp set.  I stamped it with Pacific Point on Whisper White and layered it on my base card of Pacific Point.  Using the Born to Ride stamp set, I popped up the greeting and added some dots.

I really liked the hinge technique.  I then decided to step up the inside of the card with another sentiment from the set.  I also popped it up.

For the birthday sentiment, I used my Perennial stamp set.  I really liked how it turned out.  I wanted to add some ribbon of course, but I restrained myself!  Well, back to my Halloween goodies!

Halloween Lollipops

I decided to make these adorable Halloween Lollipops that I saw at - Stamp Your Art Out - for the Wellness Center.  She did a facebook live and made so many versions.  I kept mine down to three different designs, as I was making a lot of them.  They came together so quick and easy.  Here are the three designs that I decided to make.

I actually took her advice and order the lollipops from Amazon and they are so good!  Any flat lollipop will work though.  Here is a closeup of the moon and star lollipop.  Because I am making so many I used some inexpensive 1/8" ribbons from Michael's that I had in my stash for the bows.

Here is a closeup of the cat lollipop.  I used the retired More than Mustard CS for these lollipops with the sentiment from the stamp set Spooky Sweets and the cat punch.

The last closeup is the one I made using the Spooky Sweets background  and then using the bat punch and gluing the different sizes over the background.  I was able to use a lot of CS scraps as well which is always nice.

This last picture is a picture of what I have made so far.  I have about 25 more to go!  But they come together pretty quick.  When finished I'll put them all together in my Halloween tray.

I so enjoy making craft items for the Wellness Center but not as much as the clients enjoy receiving them.  I encourage anyone out there to check with any of their local groups - Senior organizations, Wellness Center, Churches, etc, and see if they would like to have some goodies.  I usually make items for Halloween, Christmas, St. Valentine's Day and Easter.  I definitely receive more giving them then they do receiving them.  A lot of clients have no one and just a little favor makes their day.  Some have grandchildren and they are excited to give the item to them when they come and visit.

Halloween Ribbon Treat Pouch

I had to quick finish Jennifer's goodie bags for her classmates as she will be giving them out early since she won't be there for Halloween.  I saw these adorable pouches over at - Rejoice and Create - and decided to make them.  I can see many events that one can make them for in various sizes and they were so easy to put together.

I found this Halloween ribbon at the Dollar store that I fell in love with.  Her video is so easy to follow.  The only thing that I did different is that I cut my ribbon 8 1/2" long instead of 8".  I already had the spiders in my stash along with the pipe cleaners.

For my tag I used my computer to type up a sentiment and punched them out with my small oval punch.  I decided to put a tootsie pop in the little pouch.

Then I gathered all the other goodies and started filling the goodie bags.

I had bubbles, stickers, eyeballs, spider rings and pencils plus the ribbon pouch.   Here are some of the finished goodie bags.

We made a quick trip over to NJ to drop them off and as soon as we got home it started to rain, so our timing was perfect!  Now, I have to finish up the goodies for the Wellness Center.  At least I have a week to accomplish that!  I just love Halloween!!

Jennifer's Birthday Card

Well, I finished up Jennifer's 5th birthday card.  Ever since she was born on Halloween, her Mom has her birthday picture taken with the number of pumpkins that she is old.  I don't know what she will do when she reaches 21!!  So I decided to make he card with 5 pumpkins on it.  I used thick Very Vanilla CS for my base card and my layer of Old Olive was embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.

I used the # of Years die to cut out my #5 in orange glimmer paper and mounted it on some cardboard so it would stand out better and popped it up.  My sentiment was also from the # of Years stamp set.  I used the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlets Dies to cut out some pumpkins from last year's Halloween DSP.  For my inside, I used the Party Pop up die for my birthday sentiment.

I cut my CS 1/2 smaller and colored in my greeting.  In the Ready to Pop stamp set they had this cute stamp that reminded me of a vine which I stamped on each side in Old Olive.  Then I fussy cut some small pumpkins from the DSP.  I really liked how it turned out.

Since I'm not mailing the card, I put some extra pumpkins on the envelope.  Now all I have to do is wrap up her presents and get to NJ tomorrow before 10AM.  Grandma's party is in the afternoon, so it will be a busy day tomorrow.  We are definitely going to miss celebrating her birthday on Halloween, but I'm sure she will have lots to tell when they get home from Disney!  Have a great weekend!

Grandma's Happy Birthday Card

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  I was able to spend some time in my craft room this weekend and made this birthday card for my daughter's finance's Mom who will be turning 95 years old on Oct. 31st - the same birthday as Jennifer when she turns 5 years old!  They are having a big party for her on Saturday and all her kids, Grand kids and relatives are flying in from across the country.  It will be a great time!  Believe it or not she just stopped driving 5 years ago!  She is such a great gal!  I wanted to make a special card for her.  Her favorite colors are yellow and green.  So this is what I came up with.

For my base card, I used Thick Whisper White CS and my first layer was in Old Olive.  I didn't want to use a solid yellow, so I remembered I had some Perfectly Artistic DSP and used that for my second layer.  I used one of my favorite stamps sets  # of Years for my numbers, which I backed with some cardboard.  I used some green and gold glimmer paper for the numbers and used my balloon punch.

I had to used my favorite sentiment again, especially for her and added some more balloons.  I decided to decorate the envelope as well with a balloon and used the string from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, as I will be handing it to her and not going through the mail.

Well, I still am working on some Halloween Goodies, and I have Jennifer's Halloween/Birthday card to make this week.  This weekend she is celebrating her birthday early with her friends as she will be in Disney World for her actual birthday!  What a fun weekend coming up!  Hope everyone has a great week.

Halloween Treat Box

I was looking for something I could make for Jennifer's teachers, and I came across this adorable box by Sarah Wills.  I thought it was so cute that I decided to make some.  They came together really quick and easy!  They are filled with chocolate nuggets, so how can I go wrong!  Check out her BLOG for all the measurements.  The only thing I did different was use wider tape.  I think it made the box a little more sturdier.  I also used my Everyday Label Punch instead of the one she used.

I used one of my favorite new Halloween Bundles - Spooky Sweets with the Toil and Trouble DSP.  I really like this set, especially the little cat.  If you don't have this set, just decorate with what you have.

I used up some of my scraps to cover the nuggets as well.  Joe always laughs at me saving little scraps of CS but it paid off!

Here's a pictures of all the little goodies waiting to be popped up on the treat boxes.

I also made one in Highland Heather CS for my friend's Granddaughter.

I showed these to Jennifer when she was over yesterday and she is excited to give them to her teachers.  Now she wants to know what I'm going to make for her to give to her classmates?
