Halloween Cat Card

Well, I'm back with another Halloween card.  I have a lot of friends and family that love their cats and saw this cute card over at Chic n Scratch's blog and decided to make some.  As I mentioned before, I always love SUs Halloween goodies they put out and this year is no exception.  I used the Cauldron Bubble Bundle with this card along with the Toil and Trouble DSP.  Their DSP is always so great!

These cards were so easy to put together but look so neat!  I used Basic Black CS for my base card and layered it with Pumpkin Pie.  My DSP was cut at 3" x 4" and layered on a piece of Basic Black 1/4" bigger.  Then I tied some Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon around it.  I have fallen in love with this ribbon.

I used my Everyday Label Punch in black and popped it up with some dimensionals.  I stamped my sentiment on a Pumpkin Pie scrap and punched it out with a 1 3/4" circle punch and glued it on the black label.  Isn't that little cat the cutest thing!  It is a die in the bundle.  I colored her in ( I'm calling the cat a her) and popped it up with dimensionals on the circle.  Then I found some rhinestones to dress the label up.

For my inside sentiment, I used a very old Michael's $1 stamp in my stash that I love and have used so many years.  They don't make them like this anymore!  Well, I am working on some more goodies for Halloween, so I hope I find some more craft time.

I have entered this card over at CardzTV Challenge #67 - Anything Goes., Love to Craft - LTCCB #27.

Halloween Card

I saw this adorable card in Pinterest and decided to make some.  The kids are going to love them! I love the new SU Halloween stamps, DSP, etc.  They always do such a great job with their holiday products.  I started out with Basic Black CS for my base card and my first layer was the Toil & Trouble DSP.

I used the Cauldron Bubble Bundle for my cute witch and colored her in with my markers.  I individualized them with different hair color!!  I used More Mustard for my oval that I cut out with my oval dies.

For my sentiment, I punched it out with my Duet Banner punch and popped everything up with  some dimensionals.  I found some scraps of Black Glimmer paper and die cut my spider web!!  For my inside sentiment, I used the Howl-o-ween Treat stamp set and punched out some stars.

I love that stamp set!  Joe and I were shopping the other day and all the Christmas decorations are out already!  I brought a few presents but am not ready for a tree yet!  Hope everyone has a great week!

Halloween Witch's Hat Card

Well, I have been busy making loads of leaves for the hospital and Wellness Center with my Cricut.  So while they were cutting out, I finally got a Halloween card made.  I wanted to use up some of my old Halloween paper and stamps.  I love Halloween and usually buy new stamps and then forget about the old ones.  Sound familiar?  I thought these cards turned out cute.

I used More Mustard for my base card with a layer of  Calypso Coral.  My DSP was Spooky Night.  I love this paper with all the potion bottles.  I stamped my hat on Very Vanilla CS and used Pumpkin Pie to color the buckle of the hat.

I used the Spooky Cat and Howl-o-ween Treat stamp sets, Seasonal Tags Framelit Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies and Spellbinders Circle Dies.  You should have seen my desk - what a mess!

I love this sentiment and decided to add the spider.  You have to love Halloween!  The rain is finally giving up from the left over hurricane and the sun is suppose to come out tomorrow.  Yeah!  Have a great week!

Monster Boxes for Halloween

As you know, one of my favorite holidays is coming soon, so I have been on the look out for things to make for Halloween.  I came across this adorable Monster Box over on STAMP YOUR ART OUT.  She does a really nice video.  She uses her cutting blade for all the cuts, but since that is not one of my strong suits, I used my scissors.

I have been sorting through my paper lately, so I had some old 12x12 DSP that I used.

I agree with her, the hardest thing about these boxes were getting the teeth right.

The green one was my sample that I made with CS, but since it turned out OK I decided to decorate it with the eyes and bow as well.

I was going to make a template for the teeth but once you do one the others seem to get easier.

Here's how the top opens.  You can put in some grass along with your goodies!  One thing I did find useful was after I cut out one and put the sticky strip on, I used it as a pattern until all the boxes where done.  Then I put them together.

Here is the other side of the box.

Well, these were fun to make!  I love looking at them.  So cute!  Have a great weekend!

Blended Seasons - I Miss You Card

When this set came out, I fell in love with it and finally had a chance to play around with it over the weekend.  I needed a card for someone special and this fit the bill.  I decided to use Rich Razzleberry CS for my card and my layer that I used my die cut on.  I love that color.  I stamped the larger image on Whisper White CS.

I used Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry to color the image in.

I adhered the image down on my base card and then popped up the die cut with some dimensionals.  I decided on a simple white bow to finish it off.  For my inside, I used the same stamp set for my sentiment.  I just love this sentiment.  I  decided on some leaves to dress it up a bit.

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.  It was really hot and humid here and tomorrow the kids are going back to school with even warmer weather.  We never seem to get spring or fall anymore.  Is anyone making Halloween cards yet?  I finally sorted out all my DSP and sorted out my Halloween and Xmas paper.  Needless to say, I was surprise to see how much I had left over, so I'm going to try and limit my buying and use up what I have.  Did you see the word "try"??  I'm such a sucker for pretty paper.  Have a great week!
