Candy Holder

When I started thinking about what I wanted to make for Valentines Day, I came across this adorable Candy/Gift Card Holder from - LuvinstampinI thought the box was so cute, so I decided to make some for the girls.  I fell in love with the DSP paper Painted with Love.  I think it is so pretty,  along with the Party Pandas.  Wendy did a great job on her tutorial, as well as gives out printed directions.  I chose not to make the gift card just the candy box.  After putting the boxes together, I stamped the Pandas and then cut them out.

Here is the finished box with the Panda popped up.  I also decided to decorate it with some ribbon I had in my stash.

Instead of cutting DSP paper to size, I have SU's stamp set All Wrapped Up and stamped my Valentine Greeting on my labels from Avery to wrap around my nuggets.

They looked so cute all wrapped up.

They really fit so well in the box.

Here is what the finished project looked like.  I have made many boxes, but this box fit together really nice.

Now, all I have to do it find someplace to hide them until Valentine's Days.

Boy, this weather is getting crazy!  Tomorrow it is suppose to get into the 50's here and then next week freezing and snow.  Hope you enjoy making this cute box.  If you decide to add the gift certificate to it, it it really easy to make,  Have a great weekend!

Pretty Kitty Birthday Card

Here's another card I found in my stash that I didn't post!  I made it for a friend's birthday who loves cats!  This stamp set is so cute.  I saw this card on pinterest and used supplies that I had on hand to make it.

My layers were SU's Smokey Slate, Whisper White and Powder Pink.  I used some scrap DSP paper that I thought looked like a wall for the kitties to hide behind.  I stamped, colored and cut a few of them out and positioned them behind the wall.  I used SU's stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous for my sentiment on Whisper White and popped it up with dimensionals.  I also punched out a heart in Powder Pink to place on the wall.  Here is a picture of the inside sentiment.

Well, I have started some Valentine projects, so my craft room is a mess!  I love this holiday with all the pretty hearts.  Jennifer has also put her request in for some goodies for her classmates as well.  We will see how it goes!!  Have a great weekend everyone.

Thank You Cards

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  I wanted to post this cute card that I made for Jennifer to send out as Thank You cards for her birthday and Christmas gifts.  She picked out this adorable stamp set - Bella & Friends.  I have made so many cards with this set.

Recipe:

Stamps - Bella & Friends
Ink - Chocolate Brown, SU markers
Paper - Chocolate Brown, Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, Red Glimmer Paper
Accessories - Triple Banner Punch, Embossing Folder, Heartn & Tag punchs, Oval Framelits.

I made this card so it would open horizontally with my Chocolate Brown card base 11" x 4 1/4" and then scored at 5 1/2".  My Very Vanilla layer is cut at 4" x 5 1/4" which I embossed.  My Blushing Bride layer is cut at 1 3/4" x 5" and punched with my tag punch.  I stamped my sentiment on the front in Chocolate Brown and then adhered my layers.  Of course, Jennifer wanted some glimmer paper, so we punched out our little heart.  I think they turned out so cute.

Decorated Candle Jar Holder

Here is another goodie that I made for a few of my friends and family for Christmas.  I originally saw this at - Patty's Stamping Spot - and thought they were so cute.  When I went looking for the jars in Michael's I found clear, red and green ones.  I also purchased these cute little frosted lit candles to go inside.  Here is a picture of the red and green ones.

I also made some clear ones.

These came together so quick, and I loved how they turned out!  I added some charms that I had in my stash to dress them up a bit.  I think they would also look cute with a Valentine tag and a cute heart tied on.  Well, we survived the monster storm, but it is still freezing here with a wind chill alert until noon tomorrow.  It was -9 degrees when we woke up this AM.  For us that is pretty cold.  Hope everyone has a warm weekend!

Gingerbread House

Well, the holidays are over and it's back to work and school!  OMG!!  They went bye so fast.  Is it me or does everyone else feel like like this?  We have been in a deep freeze as well, with snow and cooler weather coming tomorrow night.  I have been in a cleaning mode taking down my Christmas decorations and trying to clean up my craft room.  The house seems so empty and bare without all the decorations and lights.  In my cleaning, I found this cute little house that I made for the kids and I forgot to post it.  Making this house reminded me of making and decorating the paper doll clothes I used to do.  I used the stamp set from SU - Sweet Home along with the matching Thinlet dies.  I had so much fun playing with them.  There are a lot of videos on youtube on making them.  I tried to decorate each one a little bit different.  Here is the front view of this one.  I used my 1/2" circle punch and my candy cane DSP paper for the candy.  The stripped sides are a stamped image in the stamp set that I cut out and adhered on the sides of the house.

This set has so many different dies that you can use to individualize each house.  This is the side view.  I used some glimmer paper for the roof, and I used the negative piece for the snow hanging over the roof.

This is the back view.  I also cut out the hearts and gingerbread man from the DSP paper as well.

I used soft suede for this house, but also used crumb cake and chocolate chip as well.  I closed the roof here, but left the roof open on some to fill with goodies and put some ribbon on to use as an ornament.  I had such fun making these.  I can also see these as little houses for Valentine's Day.

For those of you that are stamping your SU planner, here are my pages for January.   My friend Patty - at PJ's Projects -  sent me the New Year's stamp set for Christmas which I used for January's pages.  Check her post out for more planner ideas!   I also used Sunshine Sayings and Christmas Quilt for my words.  I used some of SUs washi tape on the bottom.

I love stamping my planner for each month.  Well, I have to go and wrap myself up in my blanket!!  I can't remember when it was this cold here and this is just the beginning of January.  Hope everyone had a great New Year's.
