Heartfelt Blooms Thank You Cards

Over the weekend, I finished up making some Thank You cards that I needed.  With so many birthday celebrations lately one can never have enough Thank You cards on hand.  I decided to use SU's Heartfelt Blooms stamp set.  I made two of each color so I have a few left over for my stash.

For my colors. I used Blackberry Bliss, Sweet Sugarplum, Watermelon Wonder and Calypso Coral.  I used my swirl embossing folder that I have had forever on Whisper White for my first layer.  My colored strip measured 1" x 5 1/4" and my centerpiece measured 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" and 4" x 3 1/4".

 I also used the sentiment that is in the stamp set.

I added some rhinestones on the Thank You banner.

For my inside panel, I stamped part of the flower.  We are in the midst of a steady downpour here with flooding all around.  No sun in sight until Wed.  Most of Joe's garden has been rained out.  It is days like these that I'm glad I am retired and don't have to drive to work!

Feathered Friends Thank You Card

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!  With all the rain we have had this weekend, I got to spend some time in my craft room.  I decided to use SU's stamp set Feathered Friends and make some Thank You cards with it.  I used Smokey Slate CS for my base card and embossed it.  My first layer was done in Blackberry Bliss and I stamped on Whisper White,

I used my markers to color them in.  I made these Thank You cards, but you could use these for any occasion.  I didn't have any matching ribbon, so I colored some white satin ribbon with my ink and dauber and it matched the CS perfectly.  I love this technique!

I left the inside blank so I can write a personal note.  It did take some time to color, but I really like how they turned out.  You could make these in so many different colors.

Thank You Cards

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  I wanted to post this cute card that I made for Jennifer to send out as Thank You cards for her birthday and Christmas gifts.  She picked out this adorable stamp set - Bella & Friends.  I have made so many cards with this set. 

Recipe:

Stamps - Bella & Friends
Ink - Chocolate Brown, SU markers
Paper - Chocolate Brown, Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, Red Glimmer Paper
Accessories - Triple Banner Punch, Embossing Folder, Heartn & Tag punchs, Oval Framelits.

I made this card so it would open horizontally with my Chocolate Brown card base 11" x 4 1/4" and then scored at 5 1/2".  My Very Vanilla layer is cut at 4" x 5 1/4" which I embossed.  My Blushing Bride layer is cut at 1 3/4" x 5" and punched with my tag punch.  I stamped my sentiment on the front in Chocolate Brown and then adhered my layers.  Of course, Jennifer wanted some glimmer paper, so we punched out our little heart.  I think they turned out so cute.

Thank You Card

Well, the rain has stopped and the sun is back out and the day as turned out great!  I needed to sneak into my craft area and make some quick thank you cards.  We celebrated Joe's birthday the other day and when I looked in my stash I had none!

Here's a shot of what I have leftover.  I used Whisper White CS for the base A2 card and then stamped my layer with Versamark and then embossed it in gold.  I used SU's stamp set Another Thank You.  Nothing fancy but quick and easy!  I'm glad I purchased this set!

I must have taken this shot a dozen times to catch Jennifer smiling and this was the best I got!  This past weekend we went to the Peach Festival at the local church and had a great time.  Sarah won at bingo and my daughter won several goodies at the cake walk!  Such fun - and the desserts were great!

Thinlits Cards

Hope everyone is having a good week!  My friend and Stampin Up Consultant Denise came over this week, and we played with some of the new stamps and framelits.  We had such a good time.  Below are two cards I made with the new thinlits label and circle card framelits.

I was really surprised how quick these cards came together.  There are a lot of videos on how to cut these out and put them together.  I decided to layer my cards completely, but I have seen some where they also took about 1/16" of the edges to form a nice outline.  I also decided to pop my sentiments up with dimensionals so they would stand out more.  I'm always in the need for Thank You cards, so I used the dies thx and hi to put in my circle.  The 2 1/2" circle punch will also work in the circle as well.  I can't buy everything, but at least I know I can borrow these from Denise if I need them.

We had a great time at the Peach Festival.  None of us won at Bingo this year, but we won a lot at the cake walk.  Sarah won 2 huge cakes and was in her glory!  The weather here is great and we are all excited about this weekend.  My youngest daughter and her husband always host an end-of-year barbecue and bonfire for the family.  They are expecting their first child in December, and they are having a "Baby Reveal" included with the barbecue this weekend!  We are all suppose to wear the color of the sex we think the baby will be.  The girls of course are wearing pink, but Joe and I are wearing blue!  Such fun!
