Wedding Card

I hope everyone is surviving this nasty weather!!  After a really warm day this week in the 80's, we are now raining, damp, cold and miserable from today and going throughout the weekend.  So I decided to hide out in my craft room and work on a few projects I have going.  I discovered that I did not post this card that I made for my friend's daughter's wedding.  She made a similar card that she posted on her blog - PJ's Projects - the other day which reminded me.  We both used SU's stamp set Bloomin Love which is one of my all time favorites.  Here is the one I made.  I used Thick Whisper White CS for my base card and Sweet Sugarplum CS and Whisper White for my layers.  I used my heart embossing folder and SU's # of Years and Better Together sets for the rest of the card.

I loved how it turned out and tied my matching ribbon on the bottom.  Here is the inside of the card.  I used my Sweet Sugarplum ink for all the sentiments.

I also decided to dress up the envelope a bit as well.

Well, back to my projects and cleaning up my craft area.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Valentine Tri-Fold Card

Well, it is snowing big time here!  We are suppose to get 6-8", so we will see what it looks like when we get up in the AM.  We got home just before it started around 4PM.  It looks beautiful, but the roads are pretty treacherous.  I had one last Valentine's Day card to show you.  I saw this on Simply Simple Stamping and decided to make it for Joe.  This card could be made for so many different occasions - Birthday, Thinking of You, Get Well, etc.

I love the stamp set she used - Bloomin Love and the small dies from Blooming Heart.  She used a 1/2" circle punch to secure the ribbon which I thought was pretty neat.  Here is the inside of my card.

This card came together really quick.  The only problem I had was tying the ribbon.  Talk about all thumbs!  I started making some St. Patrick's Day goodies for the Wellness Center.  I think they are so cute.  With all this snow, I may be able to finish them up tomorrow which would be great!

Sour Cream Containers

Nothing like getting something done just under the wire!!  I just finished making this basket of sour cream containers for my daughter to take to the Wellness Center tomorrow.  I haven't made any in a long time and thought they would like these as their little Valentine's Day treat.  You can make these in various sizes.  I cut my 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  I put tape on 1 short side and 2 long sides and rolled them together so they looked like a paper toilet roll.  I then pinched one of the ends together and used my crimper to seal it better.  I then filled it with some nuggets and then pinched the other side together the opposite way using my crimper again.  This is a great way to use up some DSP you have laying around.

I then stamped my sentiment on Whisper White CS and punched them out with my 2 3/8" scallop punch.

To make it easier for my daughter to travel with them, I decided to put them in a basket.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day tomorrow!  Now I have to finish Joe's card!!

Party Pandas Valentine Cards

I fell in love with this stamp set when it came out.  I knew I would make some Valentine cads with it for Jennifer.  This first card was made with Powder Pink and Whisper White CS.  I used the Heart Embossing Folder and the Sweet & Sassy Framelits to cut out the hearts.

I fussy cut the Panda and popped it up with dimensionals.  I also randomly colored in a few hearts on the embossing and put an Action Wobble on the smaller heart so it wold wiggle.  I used the Number of Years stamp set to die cut the banner and used SU's Blooming Love and Sealed with Love stamp sets.  I felt like it needed something else, so I added some flowers and a tiny pearl.  Here is a picture of the inside.

The next card I made was using the Party Pandas stamp set again with the Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment.  I used my circle die to cut out the front circle and fussy cut my Pandas and adhered them inside peeking out of the circle.  I used SU's Confetti stamp set for the little hearts.

Here is a picture of the inside.  I added some red and white twine as well.

I gave Jennifer the first card when she was here yesterday putting goodies inside the Gable Boxes I made for her friends, and mailed the other one so she would get it on Valentine's Day.  She wanted to make Mom a card, so we tried this card I had seen on Pinterest.  I printed it for her and she cut the little pieces out and glued them on the heart.

Then of course she had to finish off the inside.

We then decided to make these adorable Lady Bug cookies that I saw on Pinterest.  They were so easy for her to do.  We used the new Oreo cookies they have out for Valentine's Day which have a red filling on the inside.  We melted some red melts and dipped each cookie and then she put some sprinkles on along with some googly eyes.  We loved how they turned out.

They tasted pretty good too!!  She and Mom then went to see Peter Rabbit at the movies, and Poppy and I collapsed on the sofa!!  Even though it rained all weekend, at least the temperature is rising!  Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Valentine Gable Box

When I saw these adorable Gable Boxes in the new SU catalog, I knew they would be perfect for Jennifer to take to her classmates for Valentine's Day.  When I showed them to her, she loved them stating "don't forget to make one for me"!  There are designs all over the blogs, but Stampin School did one using the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and I loved how it looked.   Since I had 17 to make, I set up everything assembly style.  First I embossed my boxes, stamped my heart using the Heart Happiness stamp set and die out them out using the Sweet & Sassy Framelets.  Then I die cut out the smaller hearts using up some scraps of Melon Mambo CS.

They came together pretty quick.  I used dimensionals for the larger heart and glue dots for the smaller ones.  One good tip was that I tied my ribbon only on one handle so the box can be opened without ruining the box.  Now, why didn't I think of that??

Here are the boxes waiting for Jennifer and her Mom to come and fill them up with goodies and her Valentine cards.

I'm sure we will have a busy and fun day tomorrow.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I submitted this post to CardsTV Challenge - Anything Goes #34.

Heart Valentine Card

My friend gave me a membership to Stamping School, and I'm so enjoying it!  I am in the process of making some cards for Valentine's Day, and decided to make this cute card of hearts!

I loved putting these cards together with all the different sizes of hearts.  I used washi tape to make the largest heart before cutting it out and SU's Bloomin Love stamp set.

Here is what I did for the inside.  I added some washi tape on the corner.

Well, we are bracing for another snow and ice tonight storm.  Ugh!!  We went to pick up a few items and couldn't even find a parking spot!  I guess everyone is stocking up on goodies.  Keep warm!

I thought this card would be nice to submit to:  SU Challenge 193 - Hearts a Plenty. and CardzTV Anthing Goes Challenge #33.

Eclipse Valentine Cards

I can't believe a week has already gone by since I last posted!  I have been busy making some Valentine crafts and decided I had better make some cards before it gets too late to send them out!  I saw these cards made on -The Cows Whisperer's Creative Cards - facebook and thought they were so unique.  She does a facebook live every Tuesday at 8PM EST.  I have been wanting to make some eclipse cards and loved how she switched the lettering on the two sets of cards.  These are the 2 cards that I made embossing the gold foil.  I loved how they turned out.  You can use any embossing folder that you have.  That layer piece is 3 3/4" x 5".

These are the other two cards that were made with the DSP for the layer using the foil letters.

Here is what I put on the inside.

For those that are stamping their planner pages, here is mine for February.

I so enjoy doing these pages.  It makes me smile everytime I use my planner.

I used SU's stamp set Sealed with a Kiss for this project.  I used Powder Pink and Rich Razzleberry for my CS and the Painted with Love for the DSP.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.
