One Wild Ride Father's Day Card

I had one more Father's Day card to finish up which I did this weekend!  Yay!!  My other projects for the men in the family are almost finished as well, and I have a few days to spare!  This must be a record for me.  This was the first time I used SU's stamp set One Wild Ride and I really liked how it turned out.  This is not my typical card, but he loves to ride his motorcycle so I thought I would try out something different  The picture is hard to see as the base is black CS.  For my layer I used a piece of back and white polka dot DSP paper.

I used Real Red CS for my panel and stamped on Whisper White.  I decided to use the eclipse method to make the letters pop a bit.  I love using the Large Letter Dies and hope to start doing some scrapbooking again with these dies.  I felt like the panel needed something else and decided on these little gems I had in my stash.

For my inside sentiment, I used my $1 stamp again that I got at Michael's.  I have had a lot of use out of this stamp over the years.  Well, it is too nice to sit inside anymore.  I'm going to take advantage of the breezes and sit on the porch.  See you again at the end of the week!

I entered this post at CardzTV Anthing Goes Challenge #52, Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #196.

Thanks for stopping by,

Nancy

You've pretty much convinced me I need some large letter dies. This is fantastic!! Love the image with it, especially with the Route 66 sign. I've always wanted to travel that road. Such history there.

WoW!! You did a fabulous job with this technique. It's spectacular, and the color choices just make it pop.
