Ombre Birthday Card

I saw this -VIDEO - that Frenchie did with a balloon stamp and I decided to try it.  At first I wasn't too sure if I liked how the balloons turned out, but when I put the entire card together I was happy with it.

I had recently reinked my Bermuda Bay ink pad, so I think that is why my balloons are darker but in the end I liked the contrast.  I didn't have the new Fig CS so I used my Rich Razzleberry CS.

While unpacking, I discovered a bunch of embroidery thread I had which is perfect to use as thread on the cards.  I don't usually decorate the inside of my card that much, but I liked how she stamped the balloon again.

During one of Jennifer's visit, she proceeded to tell me all about what they were learning in daycare about the process of how the caterpillar turns into a butterfly.  I saw this adorable project to make a caterpillar and decided to make it for her.  She loved it!

It was hard to take a picture showing how cute and wiggly it is.  When I gave it to her she asked if she could put eyelash googly eyes on it!!  If you have a little one that would like this cutie check this VIDEO out.  They have a bunch of other things that are really cute.  I made her the bumblebee as she graduated to the next level called the Bumblebees.

Thanks for stopping by,

Nancy

I submitted this post to Cardz TV Anything Goes Challenge #5.

I love the idea of the ombre balloons and the big, bold birthday sentiment over top! Your embroidery thread sure is a perfect match to the sentiment. That caterpillar is super cute! Looks like a fun project for kids. Bet the bumblebee is way adorable!

Your card is perfect. I really must put a balloon set and that stampin up punch on my wish list. You are making some fantastic cards with them. Oh Jennifer is so precious, as are you to make that sweet caterpillar and and then a bumblebee to boot. You're the best. I would love to come craft with you all day too.

Ohh.. I forgot to mention. I am such a HUGE HUGE fan of the googly eyes. They make everything great! I have a lot of indoor plants and when my kids were small they liked to put googly eyes on them too.
