St. Patrick's Day Card with Iris Folding

Continuing my mission to use up some of my goodies I have accumulated over the years, I came across some cutouts that I used with Iris folding.  I used to do this a lot along with quilling, but one can only fit so much into a day!  There's was one left for St. Patrick's Day that was calling my name!  If you're interested, I got these at creationsbydedra.com.

Here is the finished card.  I mounted the finished Iris Folding on a layer of yellow scrap that I had and then put that on my base card of Garden Green - I still don't understand why SU eliminated that color!!

This is what the cutout package looks like when you receive it. Their directions are very good.  This is also a great way to use of all those paper scraps you are saving!  I used up a scrap of ribbon I had left over and decorated the front with some shamrocks!  I forgot how much fun Iris folding can be.  There are lot of websites you can visit as well with loads of free patterns you can download.  Give it a try!

Are you tired of snow yet?  I am!!!!  And no relief in sight - with more on the way!  We have our annual Scrapbooking show coming up in a few week, so I hope it won't be snowed out!!  Keep warm and have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping bye,
Nancy, Rachel & Sarah

I have submitted this card to the Cardztv Card Challenge #2

Oooh, iris folding! Very pretty and cool! I didn't know they had patterns for it. This one is fabulous with all the colors. A rainbow of color! I've never tried iris folding and, your're right, there is only so much time in a day!
