Cool Treats Card

I needed a bunch of birthday cards for the upcoming months.  I had purchased SU's Cool Treats stamp set and decided to try it out.  Every Tuesday, Brenda from Qbee's Quest, does a Casing from SU's catalog.  She did a really cute birthday card with this stamp set - check out her VIDEO.

I love using my note cards and loved how this card turned out.  I haven't masked anything in awhile and really liked making the ice cream cone.  The only problem I had was stamping the chocolate topping over the scoop of ice cream.  I had about 1/8" not covered on the top, but used my SU Chocolate Chip marker to fill in.

Here is the inside of my card with the sentiment from Party with Cake stamp set.

I have been trying to make two of each cards I make, using one and keeping one in my stash.  This card was no exception.  When I went to embellish the front of the second card, I realized that I had gotten an ink mark on the front of my panel.  I couldn't decided how to cover it up and then reached for my flowers to hide the mark.  Then I added a cute little butterfly to top it off.  Saved another card from the trash!!

I want to thank everyone for their good wishes and prayers for my daughter's fiance.  He is home, recuperating and doing very well.    It has only been a week and he looks so much better.

Thanks for stopping by,

Nancy

Good save on the second card! I have to say that butterfly is really cute. Love the striped paper on both cards and the little hearts on the first. I hardly ever mask anymore, either, but I always thought the effect was like magic. So fun when you pull the mask away. Good to hear your daughter's fiance is doing well!

So glad to hear your daughter's fiance is doing better. That is great news. I love how you "saved" the card from the trash. I spend a lot of time trying to fix my little ink incidents. I I debated on this set and chose not to get it, but now after seeing your adorable card I'm seconding guessing myself. Great job as usual my friend.
