Halloween Card

I can't believe it, but I have a Halloween card for you!  Where has the summer gone?  My friend Martha came over yesterday for some craft time, and we decided to make this card I saw on Pinterest but change it up a bit.

I don't have any of the new Halloween stuff from SU yet, so we put this card together with some older stamp sets.

Recipe:

Paper - More Mustard, Black, Whisper White, DSP, Black Shimmery Black
Ink - Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
Accessories - Boo to you Framelits, 1" Square Punch, Scalloped Square Punch
Stamp sets - Spooky Bingo Bits, Sentiment from Michaels
Embellishments - Rhinestones, Dimensionals

My first layer is a 1/4" smaller than the base A2 card using some scrap DSP I had.  The black layer measures 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" with the More Mustard layer 3 1/4" x 3 1/4".  I positioned the squares on the layer and then popped it up with some dimensionals.  I placed my BOO on the bottom and put some rhinestones down the one side.

We thought it turned out pretty good.  Here is a picture of the inside sentiment.

I always liked this sentiment with the spider handing down from it!  I love Halloween!  And now since it is Jennifer's birthday it is really special.

I have another card I would like to share with you.  I have enjoyed blogging with PJ's Projects and really liked this card she had posted awhile back.

We were away for awhile as Joe's sister's cancer has returned and spent some time with her.  I was so surprised when we returned, and I found this card among the huge stack of mail.  I thought it was so sweet of her to send it to me,

Thanks for stopping by,
Nancy, Rachel & Sarah
