4th of July Card

The neighborhood is definitely starting to celebrate the 4th early - lots of fireworks going off!  I decided to make this card for the holiday.

It came together really quick.  I used Brilliant Blue for the base card with the first layer of Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4". The second layer is Real Red - 5" x 3 3/4" - which I embossed with my star folder.  I love how crisp and clear the embossing is on this folder.  I then used my Cricut to cut out my 2 stars and my small SU punch for the red star, which I glued a red button that I had tied a bow on.  I used my stamp set from SU - July Fourth for my sentiment, punching it out with my large oval punch.  The girls thought it was pretty festive!

We also quickly put together some of our candy wrapper which we always do for the holiday.  See this post for all the directions.

We hope everyone has a great week with lots of fun!

Thanks for stopping by,
Nancy, Rachel & Sarah

I'm crazy about embossing folders and this one certainly does look very crisp!. I love how you did this with the larger, layered star over the embossed star background. Brilliant Blue is still one of my favorites when I want a bold, bright blue. You always have the cutest little treats, too! These are so very simple but incredibly clever and fun!
