Happy Birthday Rachel!!!!

We had Rachel's family birthday party this past weekend, but today is the big day!!  It's hard to believe that 15 years ago we were waiting, and waiting, and waiting in the hospital room for her to come into the world.  And today she is 15 years old!!  I wanted to make a card just for her that she would like and she did!!

Recipe:

Paper - Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, DSP - Best Year Ever
Stamps - Teeny Tiny Wishes, Birthday stamp from Michael's $ bin
Ink - Stazon
Accessories - Striped Embossing Folder, Ruffled Trim
Punches - Modern Label, Scalloped Tag, Word Window, Cupcake Builder, Circle Punch

This card came together so quickly and I loved how it turned out.  I used some dazzling diamonds on the cupcake to give it some sparkle.

I decided to decorate the inside as well and punched out some of the DSP circles.

Happy Birthday Rachel!!!!

Box for EOS Balm

Do you love EOS??  I do and so do the girls!  When I saw this cute video, I knew it was exactly what I would make for the end of the year teacher's gifts.  For my practice run, I had a dark pink EOS so I used one of my favorite colors - Melon Mambo with pink Piroutte.

I didn't have the stamp she used, so I used a cute stamp I had purchased at Michael's $ bin awhile ago.  I actually cut the pieces out by hand and layered them with my dimensionals.

You could also use this box for other things by eliminating the holder for the EOS.

I really think this is such a cute gift idea!  Well, its back to cooking.  We are having the family party for Rachel's birthday tomorrow - hard to believe she will be 15 on Thursday!!!

Happy Easter!!

I almost forgot to post these cute little Easter baskets that I saw in the Silhouette store.  I asked my friend Denise if she could get them for me and we spent a fun morning putting them together.

I just fell in love with this cute little bunny!

Then I made this adorable little chick!

This little lamb was begging to be made, so of course I included it in my goodies!  I loved them so much that I made two of each!  All I have to do is put some grass and surprises in them and they are ready to go.  I am really impressed with how great the cameo does the cutting and scoring.  It is definitely on my wish list!

Well, lots to do - everyone in the Pansy Patch wishes you and your family a wonderful Easter!!

Milk Carton Egg Boxes

I just finished making some adorable boxes for my daughter to take to the Wellness Center.  I saw these cute boxes over on Pootles Blog and knew that they would be great for what I wanted to make.  I love her videos.  She does such a great job.

These came together pretty quick.  Tonight I'm going to make a few more to put out on the table for place cards - that is if I don't eat the rest of the chocolate eggs!!  I was able to use up some more DSP scraps and it also gave me an excuse to buy this Brights DSP which I really like.  Believe it or not we woke up to 3" of more snow yesterday morning!  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this weekend will be sunny and warm for the Easter Egg Hunt!  This will be Jennifer's first egg hunt - she loves to play with all the plastic eggs.

Easter Cards

Nothing like the last minute to put together some Easter cards!  I had purchased this cute little rabbit stamp from SU  (Happy Easter Bunny) and had actually colored a bunch up but still had to put them together.

Here are three that I haven't mailed out yet.  I decided to make them all the same style except for using different colored CS.  I tried to match the CS with the color I had made the bow.  Having raised a bunch of rabbits in our time,  I decided to also make them different colors as well.  I just used my SU ink markers.

I then used my oval spellbinders to cut them out and popped them up with dimensionals on the colored CS that I had embossed with one of my folders.  They are pretty clean and simple, but I got a lot made in a hurry and didn't need any extra stamps to mail them which is always a good thing.

Believe it or not we woke up to more snow this AM, but most of it has already disappeared - thank goodness!!  It is going to be a busy week!

Happy Birthday Sarah!!!!!

Well, today is Sarah's 13th birthday!  I wanted to make a special card for her and of course it had to be in her favorite color - PINK!  She was so happy that her birthday fell on a Wed. this year, as all the girls dress in PINK on Weds. at school.  I had been debating on purchasing the small bow punch from SU, as I have the large bow die cut which I love.  I finally broke down and purchased it and I'm so glad I did.  I saw a lot of cards with bows on them and knew I wanted to make one for her special day.

I used SU's Whisper White CS for the base, and for my first layer I used some DSP I had and made it 1/8" smaller in size.  My next layer was in Whisper White 1/8" smaller and I adhered my 3 bows I had made using my punch.  My sentiment was $1 stamp from Michael's which I love.  I forgot to take a picture of the inside and it is already sealed.  I put a birthday sentiment and decorated the inside with some small hearts punched out with the same DSP paper.

Rachel surprised her with a lovely bouquet of flowers last night as an early birthday present.  I just finished baking her a chocolate cake with pink icing and it is all ready for us to devour tonight.  She and her friends are going roller skating on Saturday and then she is having a sleepover.  I'm glad it is rain coming and not snow!

Sarah - we hope you have a wonderful birthday (even though you have to go to school)!  It is so hard to believe that you are going to become a teenager!

Happy Birthday Sarah!!!

Birthday Card

I had a birthday card to make and decided to use a new stamp set I had purchase along with its dies.  I saw this card on Pinterest but changed the colors.

I used SU's stamp set Butterfly Basics with the coordinating thinlets.  I used Very Vanilla and Wisteria Wonder CS for my colors.  This is the first time I have used these thinlets and really like how they turned out.  You are suppose to use wax paper and a dryer towel in your sandwich with the big shot, but my wax paper seems to be among the missing, but just the dryer towel worked out fine.  I was kinda of torn between coloring the flowers or leaving them plain, which I did.  I also decided to dress up the butterfly with some rhinestones.  The set has a very large butterfly thinlet which I can hardly wait to try.

Well, we can't believe it but we are suppose to get snow on Friday and we still have some snow left on the ground!!  The worst part is that Friday is suppose to be the first day of Spring!  I have my eye out for my spring flowers, but nothing yet.  Have a great weekend!
