50th Birthday Card

Well, it was a busy weekend!  We celebrated my daughter's 50th birthday on Saturday - oh my, where does the time go!  We had a great time.,  Then on Sunday family and friends got together for a picnic.
Here's a family picture of us on Saturday.

I made her a card of balloons!  I love the balloon punch!

Recipe:

Stamps - Party Pants, Spellbinder HB Stamp, # of Years
Paper - Black, Whisper White, Shimmery Black and Silver
Accessories - Balloon Punch, Embossing Folder, Black SU Marker, # of Years Dies

I layered my card after I embossed it on Whisper white.  I then punched out my balloons and popped them up with dimensionals and drew balloon ties on with my marker.  I stamper my sentiment on some Whisper White and cut it out by hand - and then I realized that there was a die for the banner!  But I thought it turned out pretty good so I didn't redo it!  Next time will be easier!

This is the inside of the card.  I stamped the sentiment and die cut the numbers.  I really liked how it turned out.

Since I was handing it to her I stamped some extra goodies on the envelope.  Here is a picture Sarah took of Jennifer and her Mom at the picnic Sunday using those funny filters on her phone.  She loved it!

To start off the week, Joe had his cataract surgery yesterday and so far so good!  He went back for a recheck this AM and all is well.  No lifting or bending, but he can drive again so he is happy!  Hope all is well with everyone and the week is going well for you!

Thanks for stopping by,
Nancy, Rachel & Sarah

You look too young to have a 50 yr old daughter, and she doesn't look 50 yrs old! That last picture is so cute. Funny what can be done with phones and iPads these days. Love those silver and black sparkly balloons.

WoW, Beautiful card. I have that balloon punch on my wish list. I think you do a fabulous job with all your cards and projects. Your family is beautiful. I know my kids love those phone filters too, always making faces. I'm glad to hear that Joe's cataract surgery went well. Hope you have a lovely weekend.
