Happy 4th of July Cards

We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend with family and friends!  We spent Saturday with my daughter, Jennifer and the rest of the family.  They had an open house where my son-in-law works, so all the guys went.  He operates a BIG crane so they had a great time!!  Sunday, I had everyone at the house, but we ended up spending most of the day inside as it was so hot outside.  The guys got toy helicopters to play with and found some shade to play.  They never grow up!!

I decided to make some 4th of July cards.  I love this holiday - probably because my birthday is July 1st and when I was working I always enjoyed the long holiday!  I saw a bunch of cards on Pinterest that I liked and ended up changing them up a bit to use the supplies I have on hand.

Recipe:

Paper - Whisper White, Pacific Point, Glimmer Red & Gold Paper
Ink - Pacific Point
Stamps - SU July Fourth, Gorgeous Grunge
Accessories - Star Framelits, Star Punches

These cards came together so quick.  I just layered my paper, then used my Grunge stamp and stamped it 3 times on the layer.  I adhered my gold glimmer star I had die cut and then used my punches to add the red glimmer stars.

I used my sentiment stamp - Happy 4th of July on the inside and I was done!  Hope everyone is having a good week - it sure is hot here in PA.  I guess I shouldn't complain - it's better than snow!!
This time last year we were getting ready to go on vacation to the Outer Banks, in North Carolina.  I wish we were going again - I loved it there!  So did the kids!

Thanks for stopping by,
Nancy, Rachel & Sarah

These cards are fantastic with the grunge and the glitter!! 4th of July is a fun holiday because it's summer and there's grilling and picnics and fireworks, but I especially loved the day off work. Even better if you can make a long weekend of it! Now everyday is a day off and it's fabulous. Hoping we don't have rain for the 4th.

Your cards are beautiful. I really like the way you used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. Gosh I will have to add that to my ever growing wish list. Sounds like ya all had a wonderful time. I wish I could send you a Birthday card.. perhaps I'll have to make one and then post it on my blog for you☺ I'm a huge fan of heat, makes the pain more tolerable, and summer (I think) is just way better then winter. Hope you're having a spectacular Saturday.
