Get Well Card

A friend of ours is going through a rough time following a cancer diagnosis and surgery, and I wanted to send him a card letting him know we are thinking about him.  I originally purchased the SU stamp set - Honeycomb Happiness - for the cute little chick.  Don't you hate it that you have to buy a complete stamp set for one stamp that you crave!!  Then I saw some cards on Pinterest made with the balloon and loved how they turned out.  I didn't have all the bells and whistles they used, so I made my own version.

Recipe:

Stamp Set - SU's Honeycomb Happiness
Paper - SU's Soft Sky, Whisper White, Black, Watermelon Wonder
Ink - Black Stazon
Accessories - Lots of Labels Framelits Dies, Honeycombs
Embellishments - Watermelon Wonder Ribbon, Dots

I really like how it turned out.  I love these little honeycombs, and hope it makes it through the mail.  We are getting freezing rain tonight and then tomorrow it is suppose to be close to 60 degrees!  Crazy weather.  Have a great weekend,

Thanks for stopping by,
Nancy, Rachel & Sarah

This is great! The balloon is really cool. I'm sorry about your friend. Seems there's crazy yo yo weather all over. Here we had thunder showers yesterday and today no rain and we're taking the dogs out.

You did a lovely job with this card.. and the placement of the embellishment dots are perfect. I dislike it too when you have to buy a whole set for just one stamp.. maybe someday they will let us mix and match a few items to create our own stamp box. ☺ we can dream. I'm so sorry to hear about your dear friend going through such a rough time. Blessings to you and your friend.
