Kids Birthday Cards

It seems like these birthdays are coming fast - one right after another!  My daughter's stepson celebrates his 15th birthday right after Sarah, so I had 2 cards to make this week!  I won't show you Sarah's until next week so not to ruin the surprise - I know you're watching!!!

I always find boys card hard to make as I usually make a lot of girl cards but decided to use this SU
stamp I had purchased called Tag It..  Originally, I got this stamp for the Xmas image but thought this image would work for Charlie's card.

Actually, this card came together pretty quick once I decided what stamp to use.  I decided to score the layer 1/2" on all sides and stamped it in Old Olive on a piece of Very Vanilla CS.  I then mounted the layer on a A2 size card base in Old Olive.  I went through my stock of peel it embellishments and chose these cute stars to place over the score lines.

For the inside I also scored my paper and stamped it with my sentiment stamp from Michael's.  Then decided I needed something else and used a cupcake peel it.

Here's a picture that my friend Denise took at the Scrapbooking Show Sunday.  We had a great time and Sarah got into making the Make and Takes again this year!!

She made this cute card for Mother's Day and then for the other card she used this type of glue over some embossed butterflies to adhere the glitter.  What I liked about it was that it had a small brush on the handle that you could use it to paint the glue on the embossed pictures.  It gave her a lot better control where she wanted the glue to be applied.

Well, we are going to have a big weekend - Sarah's family birthday party is Sunday!  Hard to believe that she is going to be 12 years old!!  We hope that whatever you decide to do this weekend, it will be filled with fun!

Thanks for stopping bye,
Nancy, Rachel & Sarah

A perfect image for a quick and simple card! I need more of those for the "in-betweens". It seems like birthdays come in bunches. Reminds me, I'd better get my son's birthday card done soon! Sarah sure is cute!
