Happy Birthday Jeannie

I have definitely been in a Pansy mood for card making these days!  This card that I made for my daughter Jeannie's birthday was made form one of my favorite stamp set from SU - Pansy Patch!!  I have used the DSP and cut the pansies out but this time I used my dies and cut the pansies out of CS and pieced them together.

Jeannie's favorite color is purple so I used SU's Gorgeous
Grape and Highland Heather CS.  The base is kind of  a Z-fold card.   I used some DSP I had in my stash for the first layer and my circle dies from Spellbinders to die cut my circle and scallop.  The sentiments came from SU's Beautiful Day stamp set.

It was difficult taking a good picture, but the pansy is the focal point of the card and when you open the card you can see it as well along with a pansy bud.  I loved how it turned out and Jeannie did too!

We hope all the Mom's out there have a wonderful Mother's Day.  Thanks for stopping by.

I entered this post over at - Double D Challenges Pretty Florals.

Love your card, Nancy. Back in the 90's my kitchen was decorated in pansies. Wow time flies. I'm feeling old now. ha!
Wishing you a very Happy Mother's Day!
