Graduation Card

We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  We didn't do much.  Joe planted some flowers and worked in his garden.  I had some more x-rays last week and everything is healing.  Unfortunately, no lighter boot, so I will have to drag it around for another 2 1/2 weeks until the next visit.  I managed to get back into the craft room today and made this Graduation Card I needed.

I saw this on Pinterest made by Stamping to Share and thought how unique it was.  You could make this in the different colors of the High School, College, etc. of the recipient.  I was looking for a card that stated the year, but then thought this could also be used for other occasions such as retirement.

Recipe:

Ink:  Pacific Blue
Paper:  Pacific Blue, Lost Lagoon, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories - SU Sunshine Wishes Thinlets
Embellishments:  Rhinestones

I cut my CS 4 1/4 x 11" and scored it at 5 1/2".  I cut two pieces 2 x 5 1/8".  I glued down the Daffodil pieces to each of the Pacific Point CS which were cut at 3 7/8 x 5 1/8".  I then glued one panel on the inside and one on the outside making sure to alternate the position of the Daffodil Delight.  Then I glued down the Whisper White panel which I cut at 3 1/2 x 4 3/4".  I die cut my pieces and glued them down and added the sentiment to the front and the inside.

The inside sentiment is an old SU stamp that I found when I was unpacking my boxes.  It is nice to be able to see everything before I decide which greeting I want to use.  I'm a happy camper!!

School is almost over for the girls.  Hard to believe that another year is coming to an end,  Hope everyone has a great week!  I have a lot of birthdays coming up, so I think I'm going to make some of them next.  It would be next to be ahead of time for a change.

Thanks for stopping by,

Nancy

Yes, you could easily make this in different school colors and it looks super cute! I love that scribbly flower die and the big "congrats". Sheesh, pretty soon we'll be saying "I can't believe it's fall already". Time sure does fly!

Gosh I'm so excited about his lovely card you made, because I actually have this stamp set and want to try and do this too. Gosh Nancy you're so talented. Glad to hear that Joe got to work in his gardens. Sorry to hear a few more weeks with the boot. I know my son was so happy to get his pins out of his hand. He had them in for quite some time. now he has to stay in his brace for the next 2-3 months.. .I can't hardly wait to try to make this card.
