Graduation Card

It is hard to believe but Jennifer is on summer vacation.  Where did this past year go?  When I was working it seemed like time stood still, but now it is just flying bye.  I wanted to make her a little card as she did so great in school this year even with Covid going on around her.  I saw a similar card in Pinterest done with either hearts or stars.  I made it in her school colors which are red, white and blue.

I used SU's Gorgeous Grunge stamp set again for the spattering dots on the White Whisper layer.  My sentiment came from SU's Perfect Pairing stamp set and the tiny stars came from Gina K's stamp set Star Struck.  I used my dot embossing folder and then punched out some stars using SU's star punch and mounted them on the card.  I really liked how it turned out!

For my inside sentiment, I used the same stamp sets.  She liked the card but I think she liked what was inside it better!  She starts summer camp next week where her Mom works and is excited to see her friends that she went to daycare with.  Here is a picture of her the last day of school.  She is definitely getting tall!

Money Envelope for Graduation

We have a graduation to go to, and I was looking for a card and found this adorable money envelope over at - Rejoice and Create website.  She always makes such unique items.  As she mentions in her video, this envelope can be decorated for so many occasions.  I especially liked how she make the graduation cap.  For my sentiment I combined two stamps that I had and stamped them on my 2 1/2" punch.  I also decided to poke some holes in it, as I don't have the stitched circle dies.  I also used some enamel stars that I had on hand.

Here is a picture of what it looks like with the flap open.  Such a neat way to close the envelope.

I decided to make a little note for the inside as well.

I really like how it turned out.  These would be great to have on hand for a quick birthday gift.  You can make some in advance as they lie flat.  Here is another mug that I made to go along with the money envelope.

These are so quick to make and you can personalize them as much as you want!  Of course, my little friend - Jennifer - wanted one as well.  I found some extra paper that I had used for her baby shower and I had just enough for her mug!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Father's Day.  It was really hot here, so we spent most of the day celebrating indoors.  Have a great weekend.

I entered this card at CardzTV Anything Goes Challenge #53.

Graduation Card

We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  We didn't do much.  Joe planted some flowers and worked in his garden.  I had some more x-rays last week and everything is healing.  Unfortunately, no lighter boot, so I will have to drag it around for another 2 1/2 weeks until the next visit.  I managed to get back into the craft room today and made this Graduation Card I needed.

I saw this on Pinterest made by Stamping to Share and thought how unique it was.  You could make this in the different colors of the High School, College, etc. of the recipient.  I was looking for a card that stated the year, but then thought this could also be used for other occasions such as retirement.

Recipe:

Ink:  Pacific Blue
Paper:  Pacific Blue, Lost Lagoon, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories - SU Sunshine Wishes Thinlets
Embellishments:  Rhinestones

I cut my CS 4 1/4 x 11" and scored it at 5 1/2".  I cut two pieces 2 x 5 1/8".  I glued down the Daffodil pieces to each of the Pacific Point CS which were cut at 3 7/8 x 5 1/8".  I then glued one panel on the inside and one on the outside making sure to alternate the position of the Daffodil Delight.  Then I glued down the Whisper White panel which I cut at 3 1/2 x 4 3/4".  I die cut my pieces and glued them down and added the sentiment to the front and the inside.

The inside sentiment is an old SU stamp that I found when I was unpacking my boxes.  It is nice to be able to see everything before I decide which greeting I want to use.  I'm a happy camper!!

School is almost over for the girls.  Hard to believe that another year is coming to an end,  Hope everyone has a great week!  I have a lot of birthdays coming up, so I think I'm going to make some of them next.  It would be next to be ahead of time for a change.

Nancy

Graduation Card

I have a few graduations coming up, so I thought I would get a jump on some cards.  I saw a similar card like this one on Pinterest and put it together with the supplies/tools that I have.

I wanted a masculine card and thought this fit the bill.  I used the colors for the college - blue and grey.  I only embossed the layer 3/4's of the way to leave room to stamp the sentiment.

This is the inside of the card.  Plain and simple but I liked how it turned out.

Recipe:

Stamps - Perfect Pairings, Botannicals for You
Paper - Brilliant Blue, Brushed Silver, Whisper White
Ink - Pacific Blue
Accessories - Large and small star punches, Embossing Folder
Embellishments - Blue Ribbon from Michael's

We went from heat to air-conditioning - what a crazy season this has been!  The rain is coming back in tomorrow, but Joe hopes to get the garden planted this weekend.  He has never planted this late before.....but the grass loves it!!  Hope you have a great weekend!
