Hershey's One Kiss Heart

As you know, I love making goodies with the little Hershey Kisses, so when I saw this adorable TUTORIAL on making single hearts with Hershey kisses I had to make some.  Brenda does such a great job on her videos.

I just loved how they turned out.  These are all I have left as every time I turned around the pile got smaller.  Following her video, I made a bunch of the triangles first and then worked on the DSP.  I had a bunch of scraps left from making some goodies for the Wellness Center and was ready to throw them out - and something told me NO.  As my husband can vouch, I keep everything.  Well, I ended up using up most of the scraps on these little hearts.

Next, I glued the tops on and let them dry.  It is a definite that you let the glue dry and not rush the process.

These are so cute!  I love them!

Hope you are having a great weekend!  We are headed out to my daughter's for dinner.  Yeah - no cooking tonight!

Blooming Love Valentine Day Card - Blackberry Bliss

I'm back again today with another card I made with one of my favorite die!  You can make so many different designs with this die!  I had die cut hearts in different colors and decided to use my white hearts on this card.

I used SU's Blackberry Bliss CS for the base on my card and the layers with matching DSP.  Before I adhered it, I cut in from the one side and then folded the cut pieces back to the corners. I love how this looks.  I adhered my heart and then placed some die cut flowers from the same die on the heart decorating them with some rhinestones.  I thought it needed something else, so I used my SU butterfly punches to place on the heart decorating them as well with some rhinestones.

I used my # of Years die again for the sentiment as I did for my other cards.  I liked how the colors of the CS made the white heart stand out.  Well, back to making some goodies for the Wellness Center.  Hope you are having a good week.

I entered this card in two Challenges:

Cardz TV Anything Goes Designers Challenge #1

Addicted to Stamps & More Anything Goes Challenge #226

Blooming Love Valentine Day Card - Red

Well, I'm back again with another Valentine Day card that I made with the Blooming Heart Thinlets.  I just love this heart!  This card I made using SU's Real Red CS for my base.  My layer was DSP from last year's SU's Love Blossom pack.  I love this paper!

I die cut my heart with Real Red and used the red glimmer paper to die cut the small flowers and decorated them with some rhinestones.

I used the # of Years die again for my sentiment as well.  This card was so easy to put together, and I love how it tuned out.  We are in the midst of a downpour.  I hate to imagine if the temperatures were colder how much snow we would have on the ground.

Blooming Love Valentine Day Card - Pink

What crazy weather we are having lately.  We had several days of freezing weather, then snow last night and now today it is so nice and warm outside.  Not that I'm complaining, as I know out west things are not good!  I decided to start making some Valentine Day cards using my Blooming Heart Thinlets.  I had purchased them last year.   The large heart didn't cut right and by the time I got a replacement the holiday was over, so I'm going to make up for lost time.

The first card is very simple and basic, but I love how the soft colors worked together.

I used SU's Crumb Cake for the basic card and Pink Pirouette for the layer.  My heart was cut out in Whisper White.

I used the die from # of Years to cut out my greeting and die cut some small flowers as well decorating them with some rhinestones.  I felt like it needed something else and found some thin twine and tied a simple knot.  I'm happy to say that my thinlet worked like a charm!  Hope everyone is safe and sound with this crazy weather,

Masculine Birthday Card

I made this card for my daughter's finance whose birthday was in early December and forgot to post it!  I was looking around for some ideas and found this VIDEO on youtube and decided to give it a try.  I really liked how it turned out.

This card was a little out of my comfort level, but I did it and he loved it!  You could make this card using so many different color combinations.  Try it out!

My weekend started out with a bang.  I had entered my Cookie Cutter Candy Canes in Cardztv Challenge #7 - Anything goes and was picked to get a nice PRIZE!!  I can hardly wait to see my new goodies!  We also woke up to some snow, but fortunately we didn't get much!  I spent the rest of the day packing up my Christmas goodies.  I can't believe the holiday is over.  My house looks so empty now without all the lights and decorations.  Now I guess I will start concentrating on Valentine's Day - another one of my favorite holidays!

Reindeer Tea

I was looking through my pictures and realized I didn't post my containers of Reindeer Tea.  We always make these every year to give out to our friends and family.  We use small canning jars and decorate the tops with a reindeer found on one of our Cricut cartridges.

Depending on the size of the jar, I punch a circle of CS and then glue down the cute little reindeer.  I use my score tape along the ring and add my ribbon of choice and tie a bow.

I add a little tag and then fill it up with the following recipe:

2 cups of ice tea mix with lemon
2 cups of Tang
Cinnamon to taste
1 Tsp. of Ground Ginger

Mix all the above with a whisk and fill the jars.

The ice tea I use has sugar in it, but if you use one that does not just add 1 cup of sugar.  After I fill the jars, I mix in some red hots to add to the flavor.

Put a few teaspoons in a cup with hot water and enjoy!  We enjoy this drink all winter long!
