Bunny Easter Card

Today's post is a card that I saw on Pinterest which I fell in love with.  I made it for Sarah as she has always loved bunnies - especially her pet rabbit Gilbert!  I changed it up a bit to use what I had in my stash.  In my newly discovered box, I found this adorable rabbit die from Impressive Obsession - 075 and I knew it would perfect for this card.  I am still on a mission to try and use up DSP scraps, and I found just the colors that I wanted to use.

I used Thick Whisper White for my base card with the next layer being Chocolate Brown.  I then added my layer of DSP.  I used my Spellbinders circle dies to cut out a circle on my Powder Pink CS, which I cut a banner on the bottom end.  For my eggs, I used my Creative Times Hello Spring dies and stamps.  I adhered the eggs, rabbit and brads on the CS, made a bow for the rabbit with some twine and used a tiny little pearl for his eye.   Then I glued down my sentiment and before adhering this layer with some dimensionals, I tied a bow around it.  I really liked how it turned out.

I used my favorite sentiment that I had purchased from Michael's years ago.  I'm sure everyone is getting ready for Easter.  It took me 3 hours to load up the eggs for the egg hunt - only 250 of them!!  It takes Joe a while to hide them and minutes for the kids to find them - LOL!!  The weather is suppose to be good - no snow PLEASE!!

Everyone in the Pansy Patch wants to wish you and your families a Wonderful Easter Season!!

Daffodil Easte Card

Recently, I came across an unpacked box from my craft room.  Among other things it had in it was this cute daffodil stamp from Happy Stamper.  I needed some more Easter cards, so I put these together.  I used Thick Whisper White CS for the base of my card with Black CS for my first layer.  My next layer was Lemon Lime Twist which I embossed.

I colored my daffodils and then cut them out using my Spellbinders Dies.  I really liked how they turned out.  Here are the orange daffodils.

My sentiment was from Creative Time.  I cut a banner for it and used some tiny brads that were also in the box.  Here are the yellow daffodils.

It is amazing what one finds in a lone box.  Here I thought I had unpacked everything!  I still can't find some pictures which I know are somewhere in the attic!!  We had a great time coloring eggs this weekend.  Jennifer is anxiously awaiting the Easter Egg hunt this weekend.  Hopefully, the weather will be nice or we will have to wait another week.

Sarah's Birthday Card

Well, we survived the latest snowstorm without losing power and no more lost trees - Yay!!  We were lucky - we got only 8" and surrounding areas got at least one foot!!  One good thing about Spring snowstorms is that the temps go up and everything melts quick.  I took advantage of some free time and made a birthday card for Sarah.  It's hard to believe that she will be 16 this weekend.  I love the stamp set Number of Years which is what I used on her card.

I used Watermelon Wonder for the base case and put 3 panels of SDP on the front each measuring 1 1/4" x 5 1/4".  Great way to use up some scraps.  I used Watermelon Wonder, Soft Sky and Gold Glimmer paper for my balloons using my punch.  I also cut out some card board and backed my numbers so they would stand out more since I didn't have to put the card in the mail.  I used some twine to tie them all togther.  I love the sentiment that is included in this stamp set.

Sarah likes all the glitter and glimmer paper, so I hope she likes her card.  I remember many times we would be vacuuming the craft room after one of our crafting days!!  The Craft Show is coming to Allentown in 2 weeks and I can hardly wait to go.  Stamps by Judith will be there and I love her stamps.  This is one that I purchased a few years ago.  I love putting it on the envelopes.

Well, back to my Easter preparations.  We are all dying eggs this weekend, so I had better go hard boil some!!  Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Easter Lamb Card

Well,  I have no idea where this past week went.  Everyday I was going to do some crafting and never got to.  With one thing or another it got pushed down the list, so I thought I had better start making some cards before I missed the holiday all together!  I don't have a lot of Easter stamps, but I so like this cute little Easter Lamb from SU.  I love how this card came together.  I used Thick Whisper White CS for my base card and my layer of Whisper White I ran through my Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  I don't have a lot of wreath stamps, so I decided to use my Wonderous Wreath stamp from SU.  I used Garden Green and used the matching dies to cut them out.

I have been trying to use up some of my stash, and I found these cute little paper flowers and decorated the wreaths with them and put some rhinestones on them.  I popped them up on the cards with some dimensionals.  I fussy cut out my Easter Lambs and just added some color to its ears and cheeks and popped them up in the middle of the wreath.  The ribbon I used on this card was the Stretched Ruffle Trim Strawberry Slush to match the pink flowers.

For my other card, I used the Into the Woods Ribbon.

For the inside sentiment, I used a $1 stamp I have had for years from Michael's.

Isn't this lamb so cute peeking out of the wreath.? I love the fact that I found a way to use this wreath stamp other than for Xmas.  Well, we are bracing for two more snowstorms on the East coast starting tomorrow afternoon!  I am so done with winter!!  Hopefully, we won't lose our power again.  I hope everyone stays warm and safe this week!

Birthday Card

Well, it was so nice here today in the 40's and with the time change it is still light outside!  I'm ready for this!!  We got through the last snow fall relatively easy - no power outages and only a few inches of snow!  We are scheduled for another Nor'eastern tomorrow night into Tuesday, so we will see what happens.  We have been doing our taxes all weekend, but I managed to get a birthday card done that I needed.  I saw a card like this on Pinterest and fell in love with it.  I always make some type of music card for my friend's birthday, as she is an accomplished pianist.

I used Thick Whisper White for the base and then Real Red for the next layer.  The sheet music stamp is from Impression Obsession.  I mounted it on a layer of Black and then tied some red trim on the 3 layers and adhered them to the base card.  The other stamp sets I used were Blooming Beautiful, Birthday Delivery and Oh So Succulent.  I actually fussy cut the stem and flower out - I surprised myself!!  Here is the inside sentiment.

Yesterday, we spent some time with Jennifer.  She always expects me to come up with a project to do, so we made a bird feeder.  I saw this on DIY and it was so much fun!  You can cut out cereal boxes in any shape, but I had some left over heavy cardboard that I used.  They already had a hole punched out, so all I had to do was make a circle in the middle, so I used a roll of washi tape for a pattern and traced it.

The hardest part was cutting it out.  I had to go around 2 times but it finally went through.  I then tied some twine for the hanger.  I did this ahead of time, so then all we had to do it spread on the peanut butter!

Then we dipped it into some bird seed and turned it over and did the same thing to the other side.

I was really surprised how cute they turned out.  We made three of them.  My daughter loves to feed the birds, so I knew there were be plenty of them waiting to eat!

This is a great project for little fingers!  My daughter hung them outside this AM and it didn't long for someone to stop by for a breakfast!

Jennifer facetimed me tonight and wanted to know if foxes liked peanut butter?  I asked why?  I guess while they were eating dinner a red fox when through their yard!! Too much snow and not enough to eat I guess!  So that was the fun this weekend.  Hope everyone has a great week.  We are now counting down to Easter.  Joe got the boxes out of the attic today, so I know what I'm going to do tomorrow.

Heartfelt BloomsThinking of You Card

Well, we are so glad to see the blue skies and the sun today.  Right after I posted on Friday, our power went down and we didn't get it back until early Sunday AM.  This whole area looks like a war zone.  Sandy was bad here but not like this storm.  We woke up to 7 pine trees down in the yard.  Everyone around us had trees down and the town was shut down because of debris, etc.  School is still closed - of course the girls are happy about that!  My daughter came and got our food but we still lost a lot - what a mess!  The one good think is that nothing fell on the house.  It is so sad about our trees.  During Sandy we lost 3 trees but no pine ones.  This time is was different.  Where - Oh where - is Spring!!

During the daylight hours, I was able to work on some cards which kept my mind busy.  One of our friends is having surgery next week, so I decided to use the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set by SU.  I'm ashamed to say this was the first time I put some ink on it!!

I used SU's Thick Whisper White for my card base and Tempting Turquoise for my first layer.  I used SU's Island Indigo and Crumb Cake ink for the blooms on regular Whisper White CS.  I raised up my sentiment with dimensionals and decided to dress it up with some satin ribbon.  I didn't have any Tempting Turquoise ink which is why I used Island Indigo.  I think they went together well.  So you never know how they will look until you try!

I will definitely be using this stamp set again, as I loved how the blooms came out.  We are expecting another snowstorm tonight into Wed. and I hope it won't be as bad as this last one.  They said 8-12". Such fun!  Have a great week!

St. Patrick's Day Treats

Fortunately, we still have our electric so I thought I would post my treats while I can!  It is so windy and snowing, and it is suppose to continue through the night.  I saw these adorable treats over at  - Brenda Quintana website - that she did with Hershey kisses.  I decided to make these for my daughter to take to the Wellness Center.  I made about 50 of them with different colors of green for the outside and the inside.

I used SU's stamp set Teeney Tiny Wishes for my sentiment.  I stamped them on Whisper White CS and punched them out using my window word punch.

I used my 1/8" punch and twine to tie them on the shamrocks.  Her video also shows making a 4-leaf clover.

I loved how they turned out.  All the clients love St. Patrick's Day and love to wear their green clothes and hats, so I hope they will enjoy these while celebrating.

I also stamped my planner for March.   I don't really have any other stamps for the holiday, but decorated my month with cut out paper clovers, washi tape and stickers I had on hand.

Joe is hoping for enough snow to take out the snowmobiles, and I think he is going to get his wish.  Hope everyone stays warm and has a grat weekend.  Spring is coming - I hope!!
