Anniversary Teapot Card

I have been busy making cards for the next two months.  We have so many occasions coming up.  I made this adorable Teapot Card for my daughter's anniversary.  I love Heartfelt Creations Collections and their Teapot Collection is one of my favorites.  This card I made 5"x 7" and I covered the base card with some of their DSP.  I then used their Eyelet Frame Die to layer on top of it.

I die cut the teapot, cup, spoon and sugar bowl out and made some small flowers from their Cherry Blossom Collection and used small stamens for the centers.  For my sentiment, I used SU's So In Love stamp set.  It takes some time to make the flowers especially, but I always love the final results.  I hope everyone had a great holiday.  We are definitely feeling the summer heat but I still rather have that than the snow!!

Anniversary Card

This year my daughter's  anniversary fell on Father's Day, so we had a double celebration.  I have to admit it kind of snuck up on me, so I decided to make a card with some flowers that I already had made and were in my stash.

I used Heartfelt Creations Eyelet Oval dies to make my base card and my layers.  I love how the decorative edges look.  I used some of my Sunflowers from the Sunflower Collection that I had left over and made my little birds from the Cherry Blossom Collection from Heartfelt Creations.  The sentiment I used is from their Celebrate Love Sentiment Stamp Set.  I am definitely going to have to find some time and make up different flowers to keep in my stash as it was a lot easier to put a card together with flowers and leaves already made.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Father's Day weekend celebrating with their family and friends.  I know we certainly did.  Jennifer is enjoying her summer vacation and going swimming most every day.  I am really impressed how well she does.  That is one thing that I never accomplished and really regret, so I'm glad she has learned how.  It is hard to believe that 4th of July is one week away!

Anniversary Card

Today is Joe's and my 55th Wedding Anniversary!  It really is hard to believe!  We had such a great day!  The weather was just beautiful - warm and sunny!  We went to NJ and had a nice lunch with Jeannie and Jennifer and spent the rest of the day visiting some old haunts!  We want to thank everyone for their cards, flowers and good wishes!  This is the card that I made Joe.

I used Heartfelt Creations Royal Elegance Frames Die, Sunflower stamp and die and Sprinkled Confetti die for my numbers.  This is the first time I used this die and I loved how they all came together.

For the inside sentiment, I used a stamp I  found with the "Love Chapter" verse that we used at our wedding ceremony.  I was so pleased how it turned out and Joe loved it!  One of the presents I got Joe was this beautiful frame.

It came already ready to hang!  He loved it and so did I.  It has been a busy day.  Thanks for stopping by,

Nancy

Anniversary Card

I hope everyone had a great Father's Day weekend!  Our was busy with lot of fun.  We went to Margaret's and Dave's for a great barbecue on Saturday to celebrate there 1st wedding Anniversary.  They loved the Floral Frame that I made for them.  I also wanted to make them a special card to match as well.  I decided to use a Heartfelt Creations Shutter Fold Card as my base.  This was the first time I used this type of card and I loved how it turned out.

I wanted match it to the Floral Frame I made, so I used the same DSP from the Petunia Collection of Heartfelt Creations.  I just love this DSP.  I also used their Rounded Sunlight Window and the Window Hinges Dies.  For my flowers, I used the Classic Rose Collection and the Cherry Blossom Collection to match the Floral Frame as well.  I love how it looks which the flowers on the outside of the window,

For the inside, I used a 6x6 piece of the DSP where I wrote our sentiment.  It was a little hard taking this picture as the side didn't want to stay open! Now that this project is finished I will have to think of what I will do next.

Curtain Fold Anniversary Card

Have you seen all the curtain fold cards out on the blogs?  I needed an anniversary card for my daughter and decided to make one.  I was surprised how easy it all came together.

Recipe:

Stamps - Botanicals for You, Party Pants
Ink - Old Olive
Paper - Botanical Garden Pack, DSP - Botanical Gardens
Accessories - Botanical Framelit Dies

There is a lot of great how-to videos on this curtain folding technique.  For my card, I scored my DSP layer (on the long side) 1", 3", 4", 6", 7", 9", 10" and 11" after cutting it 12" x 5 1/2" and then cutting is diagonally 1" from the bottom corner to corner.   I decided to use the sentiments I did, so I could use this for a birthday card as well.  I have decided when making cards  to make as least 2 of each, so I have an extra one on hand.

For the inside I added a small border of DSP on the bottom.  We were watching Jennifer yesterday when my daughter came home from work with the mail.  She loved it!  I really fell in love with this Stamp set and dies, so I'm sure you will be seeing more of them.  The weather here is beautiful and will be for all next week!  Yah! Spring is finally here!  Have a great weekend!

Anniversary Card

In the midst of getting ready for Xmas, I needed to make a card for my daughter's anniversary.  I saw different versions of this card and changed it up abit.

Supplies:

Paper - Real Red, Whisper White and Be of Good Cheer DSP - SU
Stamps - Snow Buddies, Teeny Tiny Wishes - SU
Ink - Real Red and Garden Green color markers - SU
Accessories - Framelits - Hearts - SU
Punches - Word Window
Emblishments - ribbon

I started with an A2 size card (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") for my base.    My next layer measures 5 1/4" x 4".  I stamped out my snowmen, hats and carrot noses using my Stamp-a-ma-jig and then cut them out with my framelits.  Then I used the next size framelit and cut out the other piece of DSP.  I used my dimensionals to pop the hearts.  Then I tied my ribbon around the card and placed it on my base card.  I stamped my sentiment and punched it out and popped it up on the card using my dimensionals.  I really like how it turned out.  When my daughter got married on December 9, 1995 she wanted a Christmas Wedding - she got what she wished for - 9" of snow!  Hopefully we won't get that this year!

RACHEL & SARAH - DON'T SHOW MOM!!!!

It's going to be a busy week around here.  Hope yours is great!
