Heart Valentine's Day Card

This weekend I put together another card for Valentine's Day.  I saw it on Pinterest and thought how simple but cute is was, plus I was able to use up some more DSP scraps. That is always a plus!

I used SU's Real Red CS for my base card.  There are so many different colors of red out there but I love this color.  I embossed on Whisper White using my heart embossing folder.

I used the Sweet & Sassy Dies from SU to cut out my hearts.  These dies were such a good investment.  I have used them so many times.  I used SU's stamp set Sure Do Love You for my sentiment and embossed it with some gold embossing powder.  I'm trying to use up all my old embellishments and I found these cute little hearts to add to the front of the card.

For my inside sentiment, I used SU's stamp set Sealed with Love again.  These Valentine sets are old but I really love them.

It has been so cold and snowy here.  Here is a photo of Jennifer and Daisy keeping warm.

Love Letters Card

I have a stack of things on my craft table that I have been trying to go through.  When I see a design I like or stamp set/die it usually sits there until I use it to make something.  The stack is actually starting to go down.  Today I came across this adorable stamp set and die that Jennifer McGuire used quite a while ago.  I just thought it was so cute.  Actually, Jennifer used the cute little pig stamps when she was stamping with me quite a while ago, so I thought it was time to put some ink on them.

I made this card for Jennifer.  We haven't seen her for awhile, so I thought this would be a perfect card.  When I was finished, I realized it would be a great Valentine Day card as well.  The stamp set is from Clear Basottel - Love Letters - and the die I purchased from Simon Says - Window Frames, Trio Window Die.  Jennifer loved the little pigs so I'm sure she will love this as well.  There are no dies for them and the hearts so I had to do some fussy cutting.  When I was searching for some goodies for the shaker part of the card I found some cute little pigs that I had.  Love it!

Here is the inside of the card.  I also used some Wink of Stella on my hearts to jazz them up.  Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe!

Panda Valentine Cards

Can you believe that we are making cards for Valentine's Day?  That's really fine with me, as that means Spring is coming!  I saw this card on Pinterest and thought it was so cute.  I just consolidated my DSP and try to put all the holiday papers together so I knew exactly where my Valentine's paper stash was hiding.  I'm so proud of myself!!

The two stamp sets I used where Party Pandas and Sealed with Love from SU.

There was a lot of layering for this card.  There was no name listed but they were nice enough to give out the layers.  If you're interested in making it the layers are as follows:

Whisper White A2 card base
Pink Diagonal - 5 1/4" x 4"
Black CS - 4 1/4" x 3 1/2"
Polka Dot DSP - 4" x 3 1/4"
Red CS - 3 1/4" x 2 1/2"
Melon Mambo - 3" x 2 1/4"
White CS - 2 3/4" x 2"

I also added some glimmer hearts to the front of the cards.

Here is the inside sentiment.  I added some washi tape I had in my stash.  I remember when Rachel and I were shopping years ago and she came across this tape which we added  to our collection.  I can't believe I still have some!

This stamped was in the set, so I used it for the envelopes.  I was so happy how the cards turned out.

Just A Note Card

Well, Christmas is over and I have been trying to pick up my craft room - which is a mess!!  I always keep my holiday stamps/dies separate from the rest of my stamps as I don't have room for everything in one place, but I decided to keep this new stamp/die set from Gina K - Perfect Poinsettias - out since I want to use the green leaves that are included in the set.  I have her Build a Wreath stamp set and these will be perfect with that.  She made a few videos using the poinsettias but then made some just with the leaves which I thought were great!

You could use many different sentiments with these, but I chose Just a Note sentiment from SU's Flourishing Phrases stamp set.  The best part is that you can use any mix of colors.

This one I made landscape using SU's Melon Mambo.

This one is portrait using SU's Island Indigo - I love this color!

This one is also portrait using SU's Old Olive CS.

For the inside I decided to stamp one of the leaves.

I decided on Just A Note sentiment as that can be used for many different occasions. I think they would be great packaged in a gift box.  I just finished making up my calendar for this year even though it is a week into January!!  Better late than never!  I hope everyone had great holidays and made lots of memories.

Jennifer had a great time with her new cousin celebrating his first Christmas!
