Large Hershey Hearts for Valentine's Day

The other week I post these adorable (Hershey Hearts) that I made.  While visiting (The Bee Hive), I noticed that she had a tutorial for sale for bigger Hershey Hearts.  You could buy SU product or purchase the tutorial - which I did.  I am in love with these 3D projects you can make with Hershey Kisses.  The ones I made for my daughter's baby shower started my addiction!  Everyone loved the little (Baby Carriages)!  Here are four hearts I have left.

If you decided to make the little hearts you will love this larger size.  You can decorate them in so many ways.  I choose to stamp another sentiment from SU PS - I Love you stamp set. I slipped a ribbon in between rows and then tied on my sentiment with some gold twine.   One tip I can give you is to use the Green Tombo Glue when making these. It is very sturdy and easy to work with - and a little goes a long way!   I have learned to love this glue.

It is hard to believe that it is 50 degrees outside and this week we will probably set a record heat wave which is fine with me.  I'm sure old man winter will be back!!  Have a great week!

Valentine One Sheet Wonder

We spent the last few days shoveling from the 32" the snowstorm left on its way going North.  I have not seen that much snow in many years and don't want to see it again!!  In our back yard, there are drifts of at least 5'.  Fortunately, the weather is turning warmer this week, so hopefully most of it will melt before we get some more.  The girls are excited as they haven't had school yet, so no one had to get up early.

One good thing was that we didn't lose our power, so Joe had his cable and we watched Denver win!!!  Yeah!!  We were so happy for Peyton Manning!  In between watching TV, I was working on making this adorable project.  Did you ever make something out of "One Sheet Wonder"?  I have seen them on the blogs and was intrigued but never made any.  Then on Chic n'Scratch I saw her video using the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set and decided to try it out.  The idea is that with one sheet of DSP you can make several cards/gift boxes.  In this case, she made 7 cards and one small gift box.  I had been wanting to make some cards for Valentine's Day and thought what a great way to start.

I had the stamp set but not the paper she used, so I went through my stash of DSP and came up with the same design DSP but in red with some glitter on it which was perfect - I even had the red glimmer paper.  You can watch her( video here), as well as print out her cutting instructions.  I'm sure I'll be using these instructions for future cards.  Here are the finished products.

Here is a close of one of the cards.

Here is a picture of the gift box.  It is a perfect size for a special gift or treat.

Well, I' working on some more Valentine Treats while hiding the candy from the kids!!  Hope everyone survived the storm as well as we did.  Have a great week!

I've submitted this project to Cardz TV Card Challenge #1 - Valentine Day Card.

Hershey Heart

Everyone here has been sick with the virus going around, and as usual I get it last!!  I just sent Joe out with a long list to the grocery store in anticipation of the snowstorm that is expected this weekend.  It will be our first major storm of the season and from the looks of it - it will be a big one!!

I was in the process of starting to make some Valentine goodies and decided to start posting them so if you want to make some there is still enough time.  If you are like me, you don't have a lot of time and need to get started as soon as possible.

I saw this adorable Hershey Heart on Pinterest and knew it was from one of my favorite bloggers - The Bee House.  I have made a lot of her crafts.  She does such a great job in explaining how to make them!

I'm going to make some in pink as well.  You could decorate these a lot of different ways, but since I make a lot of my items for the Wellness Center I try to go easy on myself.  I used one of the stamps from the P.S. I Love You SU stamp set.  I love this set and use it a lot!

I just stamped and punched out the sentiment with a 1" circle punch.  Remember - the kisses fit tight so you may have to manipulate the paper.  Make sure you adhere the tab lining up the score line with your pencil line.  Her directions are very detailed.

Well, I have to go and get another box of tissues - I hope you enjoy making these adorable hearts!

Hello Baby Card

Hope everyone had a great New Year's and are settling into a New Year!!  We decided to go back to Lancaster for the holiday and had a great time!!  Jennifer loved putting on the hats and blowing the noise makers and wishing everyone "Happy New Year"!

Before the holidays, I made this card for my friend's first grandchild!  I got the idea from a similar card in Pinterest.  Cleaning up my desk I realized that I had never posted it.

I used SU Bashful Blue CS for the base with a layer of Whisper White.  I then added another layer of Whisper White that I embossed with my Swiss dot folder.  I die cut my oval with my Spellbinder's Petite Scalloped Oval large die and stamped my baby booties with my Stitched Stocking stamp set using White craft ink.  I planned on using the matching punch, but when I went to punch it out it did not work!!  I was so annoyed as this was the first time I had used the matching set!  So I ended up cutting it out by hand and decorated the booties with some silver thread.  I stamped my greeting with my Teeny Tiny Wishes SU set and made a banner out of it and popped it out!  I was happy how it turned out.

Since the punch is now retired with SU, I was fortunate to find one on Ebay.  This will teach me to make sure the punch is in working order when I receive it.  The cold weather is supposed to be coming back this week and bringing some snow along with it.  We really haven't had any snow so far this year so I guess we are due.  Hope everyone has a good week!
