Heart Valentine Day Card

Well, we have had more nasty weather here, so I decided to start making some cards for Valentine Day.  Last year, I purchased a kit from Gina K called Luck and Love.  I made a St. Patrick's Day card with some of it but never used the Layering Heart stencils that were included.  I decided to play around with them and loved how they turned out.  Gina made a birthday card with the stamps that came in the kit - Frame Flora - so I decided to make them for Valentine Day.

I used her Master Layout #1 to cut my layers and her Masking Magic 1/8" stripes to make a border before I did my stenciling.

I popped up some of the flowers and leaves over the sentiment strip which came from SU's Heart to Heart stamp set.

My inside sentiment was also from the same stamp set.  I didn't want to waste my extra leaves I had die cut, so added them as well along with some heart washi tape I had in my stash.  I was so happy how this card turned out!

Little Monkey Card

Well, winter is definitely upon us!!  It is freezing here with snow from the last storm still on the ground, and more to come tomorrow.  While watching the snow fall the other day, I decided to make a fun card to have in my stash.

I used a SU stamp set with matching punch.  My base layer is Chocolate Brown with my second layer in Very Vanilla.  I stamped the branch first and then layer some DSP from the Flowers and More pack.  I ended up fussy cutting the top monkey as the punch is only good for the one on the bottom and the bananas.  The greeting is also from the stamp set and I found some old gems that I thought would match.

For my inside, I used some more of the DSP and added some bananas.  Quick card except for the fussy cutting!  Pinterest has some cute ideas for these little monkeys, so I will be trying them soon.

Rudolph Christmas Card

I almost forgot to post the Christmas cards I made for Jennifer and JJ.  I was looking in Pinterest for something to make for them and came across this adorable card.

I used SU's Real Red CS for my base card and then used Simon Says Filigree Snow Folder to emboss my second layer.

For my Rudolph, I used a die set from Simon Says called Reindeer Parts.  It's hard to see, but I used some lacquer on his noise to make it nice and shiny!  I also tied a tiny jingle bell with some twine on his antlers.

For my sentiments, I used the same stamp set.  I think they turned out so cute!  We had about 8" of snow over the weekend but most of that will disappear with today's warm weather, rain and wind!  Ugh!! Hope all those in severe weather are safe and warm!

Christmas Tree Table Gifts

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  We had everyone here for Christmas with  lots of food, presents and fun!  I saw a video using  SU's Merriest Tree Bundle on Brenda Quintana's website and knew I wanted to make some!

I made these for the table and extras for some friends.

I made some in Garden Green CS and then the rest in Old Olive.  I used some gold glimmer paper for the star and used a lot of left over gems I had in my stash to decorate the tree.

There are two triangle boxes that fit together filled with goodies and two trees. One plain one on the back and the decorated one on the front. I was really happy how they turned out.

Christmas Joy Tree Card

Well, I managed to get another Christmas Card made.  I used another Layering stencil set from Spellbinders -  the Layered Joy Tree.  I purchased it along with the previous post's stencils.  I love how they come together.

I decided to use Real Red CS from SU for the base card this time and my layer is Very Vanilla.  The inks I used from SU were Real Red, Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Garden Green.

I used the same Gold Wax from Simon Says that I used on the first card.  I have seen cards made using regular ink for this but I think the gold wax definitely stands out more.

For my inside sentiment, I used the stamp from SU's Merriest Tree Bundle again.  I almost forgot to make the Reindeer Food for Jennifer and now JJ.  Kids definitely make the holiday.  From everyone at the Pansy Patch we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Christmas Card Wishes

Is everyone ready for Christmas?  Not me!!  I'm still working on some cards!  I saw these stencils back on Christmas in July and thought they were so beautiful!  Yes, I have had them since July and just made some!!  What can I say?  Better late then never!!  LOL!!

These cards were made from Spellbinders called Layered Merry Christmas Foliage stencils.  I was so impressed how they all fit together.  My base card is Old Olive and my layered is Very Vanilla.  My inks were from SU - Old Olive, Garden Green, Real Red and Melon Mambo.

There is a shadow stencil for the greeting which I didn't use.  I thought it made the card look too crowded.  It's hard to see but I used some gold wax for the stars and gems which ready made the card!  Love how it turned out.

For my inside sentiment, I used SU's Season Like Christmas.  Love the older stamp sets.  I have another set of stencils which I hope to get done.

Christmas Tree Card

I finally made my first Christmas cards of the season.  Better late than never!

I used the Merriest Tree bundle from SU.  I got out all my green stamp pads trying to decide which color to use.

For these cards, I used Lemon Lime Twist for the main tree color and Old Olive for the second stamping.  I layered my base card with a piece of DSP from my stash which I thought matched well.  My second layer of white I embossed with the Filigree Snowflake Folder from Simon Says.  I popped my tree up and added some gems to decorate it and cut the bow from some glimmer card stock.  I remembered that I had some of these cute tiny gold bows and used them as my tree trunks.

My inside sentiment came from the bundle as well.  I was pleased with how they turned out.  Hopefully, I will get some more cards made before the big day is here.
