I was in my craft room trying to get it cleaned up a bit when I found this stamp in my unfinished pile. I had been watching a Gina K video awhile ago where she stamped a picture in black and colored it in using her black prismacolor pencil and gamsol. I really liked how the finished product looked and decided to try it out.
I used SU's Smokey slate CS for my base card and frame my colored picture in black using Stitched Scalloped Rectangles from Lawn Fawn. I stamped my rose on Whisper White CS using an old SU stamp called Romantic Rose. I ended up fussy cutting it out and only used part of the stamp as it was too big for the frame. My sentiment is from SU's stamp set Rose Wonder. I decided to make it a sympathy card, as I never have any in my stash when I need one. I really like using gamsol. I am definitely not a colorist but the gamsol makes the object you are coloring look really nice.

Your card is gorgeous! And the black prisma coloring turned out great!
Your rose turned out beautiful! Gamsol really does make shading with pencils a breeze, and gives such a soft look. Love the sentiment inside, too. It's lovely for a sympathy card. Thank you for sharing your Life pics! We don't even have a Hibachi restaurant here, but I think it would be great fun! It's good to see Jennifer enjoying herself in the company of her peers. It's so important for kids to socialize and these days have been hard on them. You know I love seeing Daisy, too! She's just waiting for her Jennifer. Sweet!
Beautiful Sympathy card, I have never tried pencils and gamsol. Guess I'm going to have to come over and give it a try.😁
