Valentine Cards

I have some more cards to show you that I made for Valentine's Day.

I did a lot of foiling and here are some more done with that technique.

This first card was done using the negative foil left over from card #3.  I used the same Love die from Gina K.  Unfortunately, the camera doesn't do it justice.

For the inside sentiment, I used Gina K's poly-glaze sheets and foiled in gold.

For this card, I used Gina K's poly-glaze sheets for the base card as well as the sentiment foiled in gold which I placed over a doily.

For the inside sentiment, I used the negative piece of the foil from the first card.

For the third card, I used the red foil from Gina K's poly-glaze sheets for both the layer and the sentiment.

Again for the sentiment, I foiled another of the poly-glaze sheets in gold.  This shows how economical the foil is being able to use each sheet twice so there is no waste.  I love that!! As you can see, I got carried away with my foiling.  I was so hesitant about getting into foiling, but I am enjoying it so much!  Hope everyone is having a great Valentine's Day!

Heart Valentine Cards

Well, I finally got some Valentine cards made this weekend.  Nothing like waiting until the last moment!!  I decided to get out my foiling machine and use some heart poly-glaze sheets from Gina K.

I used SU's Real Red CS for my base card and then adhered my poly-glaze sheet for the layer.  There are so many different red CS for sale but I think SU's is the best.

I had some cute small red hearts in my stash and decorated them with gold love die from Gina K.

This card front was foiled using the negative sheet from the first foiling.  So instead of getting one panel from the foil you get two.  Nothing is wasted.  Love that!  I used a small white doily for this card.

For my inside sentiment, I used SU's stamp set Heart to Heart and added some hearts from the SU Detailed Hearts die.  Hope you are having a great week!  The sun is finally shinning here!!

Thank You cards

Well, it has been a while since I posted anything.  Half the family has been sick with one thing or another.  It started off with Sarah and the baby and now I have been fighting bronchitis and Jeannie has pneumonia.  I hope whatever the bug was it has traveled somewhere else.  I really had no desire to do much, but Margaret asked me to make some Thank You cards for the volunteers at the hospital.  I have been cleaning out things and came across card bases that I made a long time ago and never did anything with them.  I think my plan was to make them with different sentiments and put them in boxes to give away.

The CS was in different colors with matching ribbon going across the middle and that was were I stopped.  I die cut Gina K's Thanks die in gold foil and white background and adhered to the front of the cards.

I feel like I went back in time and used some matching flowers with brads in the middle. I cannot remember the last time I used brads!  I have not had the heart to throw away these flowers that are in little bottles that I've had for years!  I'm so glad she liked them as I have 25 more card bases already made!  I think I will start finishing them up little by little and give them to her to take to the hospital so they have them when needed using different sentiments on the front.  I haven't even started any Valentine cards so I had better get going.

Snowman Happy New Year Card

Things got pretty hectic here during the holidays, and I didn't get to use one of my stamps/die from Penny Black - Snowy Wood 2521K.  I originally had used it last year to stamp on some cloth gift bags and during the year I found a die for it on Amazon which made my day!  It is a wood mount stamp. I decided to send it to Jennifer so she would have it when she got home her father's.

I used SU's DSP Highland Heather for my base card and layered Gina K's Poli-Glaze sheet called Flurries in Silver foil for my layer cut out with ML2 from Gina K.  I colored the snowman with my Highland Heather marker and popped it up with some tape.  My sentiment came from Gina K's stamp set Star Struck.

For my inside, I die cut some cute snowflakes in Highland Heather that came with the die set which was a nice bonus!  We have had some snow here but not as much as the other states thank goodness!  Very gold and windy here which for us is unusual. We actually saw a robin in the yard the other day.  I think he must of gotten lost flying south!!
