We had a busy week celebrating Sarah's birthday. Hard to believe that she turned 23 years old! It seems like yesterday that we were taking Rachel down to the hospital to meet her new sister!! I had an idea of the card I wanted to make her and it didn't turn out that way for a number of reasons but in the end it was OK.
I used one of my favorite colors from SU - Melon Mambo - for the base card and teamed it up with some DSP with matching candles in the same color. I used my Spellbinders scalloped oval die and popped it up over my Layering Candle stencils from Gina K. It's hard to see but I used some silver paste on the second stencil.
For my inside sentiment, I used Gina K's stamp set Luck and Love and jazzed it up with some leftover DSP.
Here's a picture of Sarah and Juan. He wanted her to have a spider man cake!! Everyone is growing up!
Thanks for stopping by,
Nancy

Love that card! Great dsp for the candle stencil not to mention the ink blending on those candles! That must have taken a minute! Happy Birthday to Sarah. I bet Sarah and Juan enjoyed that Spider Man cake!! Adorable photo too.
You may have had something else in mind, but this looks fabulous! I absolutely love those candles, and I can see the silver on them just fine when I click. The gems at the base of the flames is brilliant! It was nice of Sarah to let Juan have a Spiderman cake for her birthday. Such a cute pic of the two of them!
Your card turned out great. Love the added gems to the flames. I don't even have any Melon Mambo. Love those big candles on the spider man cake. So fun!
Hope you are doing well. I was up most of the night dealing with Tornado warnings. I am tired today. Hope you have a good day!
LOL ... I love that he wanted her to have a spiderman cake lol. Yes they have a habit of growing up a lot faster than we want them too. Your card is FABULOUS and I'm sure was very well received! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our STENCIL FUN challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
