Here's another St. Patrick's Day card I made over the weekend. I haven't used my cricut for awhile, so I thought I would use it with this card. Actually, this card is pretty simple once you get started. Is anyone thinking about getting the new Cricut Explore which is coming out soon?
Recipe:
Ink - Crumb Cake - SU
Paper - Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Green Galore - we really loved that color!!!
Accessories - Cricut Cartridge - Accent Essentials
Embellishments - Gem and tiny shamrocks
I cut my Crumb Cake 4 1/4" x 11" and scored in the center. Sponge the edges with some Crumb Cake ink. My layer is 4" x 5 1/4" in Crumb Cake and sponged as well. I cut out 4 solid hearts in Garden Green, 8 open hearts at 2" in Green Galore and 2 swirls at 3 3/4" - one of each color. Adhere the solid green hearts first forming your shamrock, your open hearts are next and then place your swirls to form a stem. Then cut 4 solid hearts out at 1 1/2" and place them over the top of the shamrock. I secured a gem that I had for the center of my shamrock and placed a few tiny shamrocks on the front of the card, as I felt it needed something else. I then secured this layer to the base and I was done.
We are waiting to see how much snow we are going to get from this latest storm that is marching our way! The girls of course of hoping for no school tomorrow, but I am hoping for SPRING!!! Have a great week and stay safe!
Thanks for stopping bye,
Nancy, Rachel & Sarah

A very pretty layered shamrock with the big gem in the middle! Perky and fun!
