3D Birthday Card

I wanted to make a birthday card for my friend who loves flowers and working in the garden.  In keeping with cleaning out my stash, I found these cute 3D flowers that you put together step-by-step to achieve the final product.  I think I had purchased them at a Scrapbook Show a few years ago.

They are pretty easy to put together.  After punching out the flowers and petals, you layer them on top of each other using dimensionals.  I decided to use Garden Green for the base card as I liked how it matched the color of the petals.  I used the Heart Embossing folder with Pretty and Pink CS for the layer that I adhered the 3D flowers to.  I colored my ribbon with my SU markers in those 2 colors and tied them in just a knot.  Then I used my Word Window and Modern Label punches for my sentiment.  I really like how the flowers pop out on the card.  These actually fit in an A2 envelope with only a little extra postage which is nice.

We are expecting rain all weekend which is fine with me as long as it isn't snow!  April showers bring May flowers and I'm ready to see all my Spring flowers pop up!  Hope you have a good weekend.

Thanks for stopping bye,
Nancy, Rachel & Sarah

Way to go with cleaning out the stash! I absolutely love those pretty flowers on the heart-embossed background. Deliciously feminine and, as a gardener, myself, I can say with certainty that she will LOVE this card!
