Sarah's Birthday card

We  had a busy week celebrating Sarah's birthday.  Hard to believe that she turned 23 years old!  It seems like yesterday that we were taking Rachel down to the hospital to meet her new sister!!  I had an idea of the card I wanted to make her and it didn't turn out that way for a number of reasons but in the end it was OK.

I used one of my favorite colors from SU - Melon Mambo - for the  base card and teamed it up with some DSP with matching candles in the same color.  I used my Spellbinders scalloped oval die and popped it up over my Layering Candle stencils from Gina K.  It's hard to see but I used some silver paste on the second stencil.

For my inside sentiment, I used Gina K's stamp set Luck and Love and jazzed it up with some leftover DSP.

Here's a picture of Sarah and Juan.  He wanted her to have a spider man cake!!  Everyone is growing up!

Fish Card

I am happy to say that our weather will be nice today and tomorrow until the rains come in on Thursday.  It is still a little windy but a lot better than it has been.  We lost another two trees in the back so Joe has his work cut out for him - literally!!  On Saturday, I went to a craft show with Sarah and Margaret and had a really nice time even though the weather was so nasty.  There were many Easter items and food which made made us happy!!  When I got home I finished up a card that I had been working on.  My friend Denise sent me this stamp/die from Gina K. so I decided to make it and have in my stash ready to go.

My base card is SU's Tempting Turquoise and my layer is done with Hero Art's Bubble Background stamp layered in Black CS.  Gina's stamp set is called Keep on Swimming.

I had some extra goodies die cut, so I put them on the inside of the card.  I loved how the card turned out!

Heart Valentine Card

Ok, so I have one more Valentine's Day card to show you!  I made this card for my husband and he loved it as much as I did!

This card was so easy to put together but I thought looked so neat!  I used SU's Real Red CS and their Heart to Heart stamp set and die.  I have used these stamps so many times but never used the die!  I used Real Red CS and put adhesive on it and then die cut as I did not want to adhere all those little hearts to the white CS.  All these cute hearts of all different sizes popped out with adhesive on them ready to use, which I did on my other cards for Valentine's Day.

For my sentiment, I used the same stamp set and some of the cute hearts.  I guess I had better start making some things for Easter.  I'm glad it is in April this year so I will have extra time to decide what to make.
