Well, it has been a while since I posted anything. Half the family has been sick with one thing or another. It started off with Sarah and the baby and now I have been fighting bronchitis and Jeannie has pneumonia. I hope whatever the bug was it has traveled somewhere else. I really had no desire to do much, but Margaret asked me to make some Thank You cards for the volunteers at the hospital. I have been cleaning out things and came across card bases that I made a long time ago and never did anything with them. I think my plan was to make them with different sentiments and put them in boxes to give away.
The CS was in different colors with matching ribbon going across the middle and that was were I stopped. I die cut Gina K's Thanks die in gold foil and white background and adhered to the front of the cards.
I feel like I went back in time and used some matching flowers with brads in the middle. I cannot remember the last time I used brads! I have not had the heart to throw away these flowers that are in little bottles that I've had for years! I'm so glad she liked them as I have 25 more card bases already made! I think I will start finishing them up little by little and give them to her to take to the hospital so they have them when needed using different sentiments on the front. I haven't even started any Valentine cards so I had better get going.
Thanks for stopping by,
Nancy

Hate to hear that you and your family are sick. The flu is going around in this area. Two of the nearby schools had to close because of it. It's nice that you already had some card bases made. Like the bright colors. Hope you all get better soon and I'm hoping I don't catch the flu.
I love your Thank You cards. they're bright and cheerful and best of all you got to use some brads too. I can't remember the last time I used one either. And I still have my little jars of flowers too!
many people in our areas get sick too.... may be due to temperature changes from warm to cold, then back to warm again....
Hope, everything goes well with you and family members...
# Pretty cards..... colors are attractive.
Oh, I know she loved these in all the different colors with ribbon and flowers to match. Good way to use your ribbon, and I remember having lots of those flowers in bottles. The brads make cute centers. I'm sorry to hear of so much illness in your family. I hope it moves out soon!
