It has been awhile since I last posted anything. Things have been somewhat hectic here. Joe has been in and out of the ER and ended up having surgery last week so I have not had much time in my craft room. I did manage to make a card for my daughter's birthday. Fortunately, I had started it and only had to put the finishing touches together.
I ended up using some more of SU's Brushed gold CS for my base card even though it looks like silver in the picture. I used SU's Gorgeous Grape CS for my layer which I used gold embossing powder on my Gina K's stamp Frame Flora. I embossed the heart first and then embossed one of the sentiments inside the heart.
For my inside sentiment, I used one of my favorite SU stamps - Happiest of Birthdays. I had something else in mine, but considering the time frame I went with this which I thought turned out OK.
Thanks for stopping by,
Nancy
Gosh, the gold heart on purple is so pretty! It has an elegant look to it, but fun as well. I'm sorry to hear Joe and you have been having a rough time. I know how upsetting it is. I hope all will turn out well and his recovery will be smooth. Hugs!
