Playing in the Rain Card

It is hard to believe that it has been so long since I posted a card.  Life certainly can get interesting!  We thought things were starting to get back to normal after Joes' surgery, but he started to get very tired and not feeling well at all.  He ended up in the ER being diagnosed with Covid.  He spend a few days there as they infused him with the medicine remdesivir.  Needless to say, he was glad to get home.  I figured I probably had it as well and got tested and it was positive too! We were able to escape it for all these years but it finally got us.  Unfortunately, due to my MS it made me really tired and weak and I fell and banged myself up pretty good - but we are all on the mend finally.  Pretty nasty stuff!  I  didn't go into my craft room for weeks, so finally over the weekend I made it back there to clean up and put away all the things I had been planning to make for Valentine's and St.  Patrick's Day for next year.

I had ordered this really cute stamp/die set from SU called Playing In the Rain and decided to make a card for Jennifer.  I had been talking to Rachel about it and she remembered how she used to love putting her boots on and go jumping through the puddles!  All these girls loved to go out in the rain!

It was a pretty easy card to put together.  I used SU's Old Olive CS for my base and black CS to layer my white.  This is such a cute set with more critters to chose from, so I will definitely be using it again! I used a small wobble on my rabbit so he could dance around in the raindrops.  I can tell that Spring is rolling in as some of our flowers are blooming and lots of rabbits in all sizes can be seen in the yard.  I have to find our hummingbird feeders as we usually start putting them out in April.

Thanks for stopping by,

Nancy

  2. This card is utterly adorable and you did such a good job on it! I knew you both were sick and it's good to hear you're much better now. Darn COVID. Rich still wears a mask in most public places. It's probably a false sense of security, but he feels better that way. With COPD he's cautious. Even though we've both been vaccinated and had all the boosters it's still a risk.
