I hope everyone is doing well. We are in the midst of very cold weather along with some snow and the forecast is calling for a major snowstorm this weekend! UGH! Our plow is definitely getting a workout this year. A friend of mine is downsizing her craft supplies and asked me if I was interested in some Stampin Up sets. Of course the answer was yes!! One of the stamp sets was Lasting Lily with dies and some sympathy sentiments. I saw this idea on Pinterest and adjusted it to what I had on hand. I never have any on hand when I need them, so I decided to make more than one.
Using the same idea, I made each card using different DSP and matching it up with coordinating ink. I used my ML#2 from Gina K for my format.
I decided to alternate the main sentiments on the front of the cards. Most of my inks are from Stampin Up but recently I purchased a few colors from Gina K. She advertises that they have a smoothing agent and look different when dried. She definitely is right! What a difference between the two especially with these types of stamps and blending.
I decided to use the extra piece of DSP to decorate the inside. Never let a scrap go to waste!!
It's basketball time again. Jennifer is number 18.
Finally got the ice removed just in time for more snow!
Thanks for stopping by,
Nancy

Hmmm... now I'm really interested in that Gina K ink. Lovely sympathy cards and true for me as well that I never have one when I need it. In fact, I should make up a bunch as mine are depleted. What fun to be the recipient of your friend's destash! I don't envy you having to deal with all that snow. You do have a nice, cozy looking home, thank goodness. Good luck to Jennifer and team this season!
ReplyDeleteflowers on the cards are beautiful.... love the colors.
ReplyDelete# have never experienced with thick snow and freezing temperatures....
Beautiful cards ♥️ Warm greetings from a retired lady living in Montreal, Canada ❤️ 😊 🇨🇦
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty cards, really makes nice sympathy cards. Smart to make a few extra. I never have any extra on hand. We have been having a few warmer days, and the snow is about gone. I think we got 14 inches here and then a few more inches added on after that. I am so over winter. Yes, it's basketball season. Our boys high school team is doing great and haven't lost a game. They are 17 and 0. Hoping they can finish with no losses.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful day!
