Ink Blending Halloween Cards

We have been enjoying our beautiful weather so much that I forgot to post some more Halloween cards. I really liked doing the last cards I posted and decided to do some ink blending instead of using colored CS.  I think it gave the cards a whole different look!  I used Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight inks.  I love these little guys!!

I used the Scattered Bat stencil again, but this time I used black ink and when dried I covered over the bats in Glitter Glaze.  I love how sparkly it turned out!

I used Gina K's Detail White embossing powder again for the sentiment over her Pigment White ink.  I like how clear the embossing turns out using the pigment ink!

My inside sentiment is the same as I had some bats left over.  Is it me or does anyone else have trouble using SU's punches.  They are so hard to use.  I always have Joe do it now!  LOL!!

Ghost Card

Well, I'm back to making some Halloween cards.  I have a weakness for buying Halloween goodies and couldn't resist when I saw this cute little ghost from the Pretty Pink Posh release called - Halloween Corners.  There are so many cute Halloween stamps and dies this year!

I used Pumpkin Pie CS from SU for my base card.  For my layer I used SU's Highland Heather CS and did some blending with the darker color Gorgeous Grape.   Then I used Ranger's Distress Black Opaque Texture Paste on the Bat die from the release.

I love how this  little ghost turned out holding his cute pumpkin.  There is a little die for his face which makes it easy and I backed it with a black circle.  For my sentiments, I stamped them in White Pigment ink and used white embossing powder and then a die to cut them out which makes it easy!

My inside sentiment is also from the release set and the bats are from a SU punch.  I liked how these cards turned out.  Juan went on his Pumpkin Patch field trip with his Nursey School and had a great time.  He didn't want a big pumpkin but a "Baby One"!

On the other hand, Jennifer went for a big one!!

They met at the mall and of course he wanted to go for a ride on his favorite car!  They had lots of fun which is all that matter!

Bat Halloween Card

Well, October is now here and I'm trying to get a jump on Halloween.  I'm not as fast as I used to be, so I had  some of my helpers bring down my decorations from the attic over the weekend so I could get started.  We have always loved Halloween and since Jennifer's was born on Halloween, it is always so  much fun.  I also started making some cards.  I saw this design on Pinterest and thought is would be cute and easy to make since I knew I had the SU DSP.  Well, after checking my stash I must have used the star paper up.  Fortunately, after telling my crafty friend Denise she found she has the paper and cut it up for me and sent it in the mail!  Thank You Denise!!

I used Basic Black for my base card and More than Mustard for my first layer.  I then used SU's DSP for  my second layer.

For my circle, I used SU's Stitched Shapes Framelit die along with the coordinating bat punch.  I then added some of the star gems to the circle.

For my inside sentiment, I used my trusty old stamp from Michael's.  Denise even sent along the extra DSP scraps, so I used them to add some more decoration to the inside if the card. I purchased some new stencils for Halloween, so that will be the next cards - hopefully!
