OMG!! Is it Friday already? I really don't know where this week has gone. It has been a busy one. My stamping friend Martha came on Wed. for our last visit. She is heading home to Florida tomorrow. We made some great cards which I will post down the road. I realized that we are also at the end of the month and I wanted to stamp my October Planner pages. As I mentioned before, Michele from The Cow's Whisperer's Creative Cards does a video on the Planner pages on her FACEBOOK ACCOUNT which was last night. She also does videos on her BLOG. every Tuesday night at 8PM ET. She gave us a peak last night of what she plans on doing next week and it is soooo cute! Try and join us.
This month's planner pages was devoted of course to Halloween - one of my favorite holidays! The stamp sets I used were Spooky Bingo Bits and Cookie Cutter Halloween. I love these sets.
I also used some Spooky Nights DSP and washi tape that my daughter gave me that she found at Michael's. The little pumpkin and Treat or Treat stamps are also from Michael's $1 bin. I love the idea of stamping on these pages. It is so much fun to do, as well as I get to look at the pages all month.
We are in the process of bring in some plants and picking up the outside for what will come - SNOW!! Here is a picture of one of my favorite plants. It is a pink oxalis. Some people call it the shamrock plant. There is also a green one with white flowers. I always liked the dark leaf one with the pink flowers.
Every year I put it on the front porch and it does so well. Then I bring it in and it slowly goes down hill and barely makes it to Spring. This year I am going to try another window and see what happens. So I took this picture in case it doesn't make it.
Well, Joe brought more eggplants in from the garden so I'm off to make stuffed eggplants. I found this great recipe from Lidia that we love. I'm going to try and freeze some as well. This is the first year we grew eggplants and from just one plant we got a dozen eggplants which we didn't expect.

Thinking of You Card
My stamping friend Martha brought a few stamp sets with her this summer that she wanted to use. Among them was the Colorful Seasons and dies. We had so much fun making this card. I found this design on Pinterest and just adjusted it accordingly to what supplies I had on hand. We were really happy how it turned out.
The base card was made in Whisper white along with the chair. The scallops were cut in Chocolate Chip, Sweet Sugarplum and Powder Pink with one of the dies. The large limb was also cut with a die using Chocolate Chip CS and the small flowers were cut out using a die a well.
The small branches and small flowers were stamped. We decided to pop up the small flowers with dimensionals, so they would stand out and decorated them with some small pearls. I didn't purchase this stamp set but I'm having second thoughts. We did another card with it which I will post soon. I love the look of this stamp set.
Jennifer was here for the weekend and we had so much fun. We had to wait until after dinner to go out as it was so hot - in the 90's!! I can't believe that my mums are surviving this hot weather. She wanted her picture taken with the mums!
She loves riding her ATV.
The bad thing is now it is getting dark around 7PM. That's the one thing I hate about winter. Have a great week!

Birthday Gift Card
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I manged to get back to my stamp room, as I needed to make a birthday card and decided to make a gift card. I ended up going to Pinterest and picked out this card to make adjusting it a bit for the supplies I had on hand.
I used some left over DSP that I had from making Joe's birthday card - Birthday Delivery. My base card and scalloped square are Powder Pink CS with Real Red and Whisper White for the greeting and inside piece.
Card Base - 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2" and 2 1/2"
DSP Layers - 2 3/4" x 4", 2 1/4" x 4", 1" x 4"
Whisper White Layer Inside 5 1/4" x 4"
I used my Spellbinders dies for my sentiment layering and SU's BetterTogether stamp set for the sentiment. Then I used some dimensionals and adhered down half of it on the front of my card. For the inside, I punched a half circle with my 1" punch and then adhered down the two sides with some tearing tape.
This card came together so quick and easy! Just what I needed. You would never know it was almost fall here. The temperature today is in the 80's - not that I'm complaining.

Thoughts and Prayers Card
Today's card is another one that my friend Martha brought with her this summer. She had it all cut out and ready to go.
This was so easy to put together, but I thought is was beautiful! She used Whisper White for the base card and layered it with another piece of Whisper White using the embossed frame. Her next layer of Pink Pirouette was 4 1/4" x 3" and the smaller piece of Whisper White was cut 1/8" smaller.
We used SU's Thoughts and Prayers Stamp set with Smokey Slate and put some rhinestones on the flowers and finished it off with a small butterfly. I didn't put any sentiment on my card for awhile, and then used my Teeny Tiny Wishes to make it a Thinking of You" card. This way I can use it for a lot of different occasions. We have been glued to the TV watching the hurricane in Florida. We know so many people down there and hope all is well with them. Our Prayers and Thoughts are with them!

Kitchen Dresses Christmas Cards
I fell in love with these adorable kitchen dresses that I saw on - Running With Scissors - blog. She made several types but I decided to make some for Christmas cards, as I'm trying to get an early start on my cards. I used the die from the Frantic Stamper's Kitchen Dress Design A2 Card Maker. I loved how they turned out.
This one I used Garden Green CS for the base and some DSP for the apron layer. It's hard to see, but the spoon and roller I used Gold Glitter paper.
For this card, I used Garden Green CS for the base and cut some DSP for the card front and apron. I colored in the spoon and rolling pin handle with some brown marker.
For the last card, I used Christmas DSP for the card base and apron.
For the inside sentiment I used either Whisper white or Very Vanilla CS for the apron.
My stamping friend Martha and I so enjoyed playing with this die. It reminded me of when I was a kid and played with my cut out paper dolls. I spent many hours on hot summer days with my cousins at my Nanny's kitchen table designing paper doll outfits. I will be playing with this die a lot more! We are preparing for a hurricane here on the East coast. Hopefully, it won't be as bad as the one that hit Texas. Have a good week!
