As I mentioned the other day, I needed some birthday cards and decided to use this very pretty stamp set from SU. I like to visit Brenda Quintana's blog. She does a facebook live and a CASE-ing Tuesday from the SU Catalog. I thought this card was so pretty and would be perfect for my daughter's birthday coming up. Check out this VIDEO for all the details.
I can imagine this card done in many different colors, but I knew she would like the Sugarplum CS. For the fold over flaps, I ended up using up some DSP scraps, which is always a good thing. I also used my Black ink for the sentiments as I didn't have the green she used, which I thought made the images stand out better.
I had only used the butterfly before in this stamp set, so it was nice to use the rest of the stamps.
This card could be used for other occasions as well. I was really pleased how the cards turned out - so soft and pretty.
Our Memorial Day was rained out but it was kinda of nice to just relax. I have to go back to the foot Dr. this week, so hope to get rid of this boot I have been dragging around. I'm sure then there will be PT on the horizon. UGH!! Have a great week!

I was viewing some blogs today and came across Michelle Wright's blog - The Cow Whisperer's Creative Card that was mentioned in Frenchie's Blog. I was so touched by her card she created, as well as her story, that I wanted to share it with my viewers. Please visit her blog and let her know her son did not die in vain!

Just for You Card
Well, the holiday weekend is here!! We had a busy day today watching Jennifer, or should I say she was watching me. She is fascinated with the boot I have to wear. Good thing she is so good as my energy level is not what it should be. She loves to paint, so my refrigerator is full of wonderful pictures! Then she went riding on her ATV with Poppy and she had a great nap after lunch.
So while I had time, I finished up some cards I started the other day. I had not used the Botanicals For You stamp set from SU much and made these cards with it. They came together really quick.
I used Crumb Cake for the base card and used a layer of Watermelon Wonder next. I love that color. My next layer was from the Birthday Bouquet DSP. I stamped my Just For You on some Whisper White and glued it on a layer of Garden Green.
My bow is made from Watermelon Wonder ribbon and I punched a flower out of the Watermelon CS and decorated it with a pearl.
I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set for the inside. I decided this card can be used for a lot occasions - birthday, engagement, retirement, etc. I hated cutting into my DSP, but.......I told myself I will not buy anymore until I use some up.
We are suppose to have some rain off and on for the weekend. I hope we will at least get to barbecue some. Hope everyone enjoys their Holiday!

Graduation Card
We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We didn't do much. Joe planted some flowers and worked in his garden. I had some more x-rays last week and everything is healing. Unfortunately, no lighter boot, so I will have to drag it around for another 2 1/2 weeks until the next visit. I managed to get back into the craft room today and made this Graduation Card I needed.
I saw this on Pinterest made by Stamping to Share and thought how unique it was. You could make this in the different colors of the High School, College, etc. of the recipient. I was looking for a card that stated the year, but then thought this could also be used for other occasions such as retirement.
Recipe:
Ink: Pacific Blue
Paper: Pacific Blue, Lost Lagoon, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories - SU Sunshine Wishes Thinlets
Embellishments: Rhinestones
I cut my CS 4 1/4 x 11" and scored it at 5 1/2". I cut two pieces 2 x 5 1/8". I glued down the Daffodil pieces to each of the Pacific Point CS which were cut at 3 7/8 x 5 1/8". I then glued one panel on the inside and one on the outside making sure to alternate the position of the Daffodil Delight. Then I glued down the Whisper White panel which I cut at 3 1/2 x 4 3/4". I die cut my pieces and glued them down and added the sentiment to the front and the inside.
The inside sentiment is an old SU stamp that I found when I was unpacking my boxes. It is nice to be able to see everything before I decide which greeting I want to use. I'm a happy camper!!
School is almost over for the girls. Hard to believe that another year is coming to an end, Hope everyone has a great week! I have a lot of birthdays coming up, so I think I'm going to make some of them next. It would be next to be ahead of time for a change.

Mother's Day Card
We hope everyone had a very nice weekend. Instead of going out, everyone came here yesterday. It was so much easier for me to stay home than to drag this boot around. Everyone brought a bunch of goodies and we had a great time. On Saturday, I made it back to my craft room for the first time since things were moved back, and I made this card for my daughters. I originally was going to make it for Valentine's Day in red but ran out of time, so I thought I would change up the color and make it for Mother's Day. This design could be used for so many occasions.
I made a gateway card measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scoring at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8" in Whisper White. I used SU's Sugarplum CS for my sides measuring 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" and the inside panel which measures 4" x 5 1/4" which I then embossed. I used my Sweet & Sassy Framelits, embossed them as well, and adhered them together to form my closure using dimensionals on one side of the heart to my base card.
I used my $1 stamp from Michael's for my sentiment. Before I hurt my ankle, I had found this adorable pansy stamp online and was so happy when it came in the mail the other day.
My old one was wearing out and I love how this stamped out!! I go back to the ankle specialist on Wed. for more x-rays, so I hope he will give me something lighter to wear. It is suppose to warm up this week so I can hardly wait. I hope everyone has a good week!

Cool Treats Birthday Card
I had made this card for Rachel's 17th birthday which was last Sunday. Unfortunately, instead of celebrating her birthday, I spent the day in the ER. What a mess! While getting ready, for some reason, my right leg collapsed on me and I ended up with a fractured right ankle!! So instead of eating cake, I was getting x-rays of my foot, ankle and knee. I won't bore you with the details, but I'm not a happy camper. The next day we went to an ankle specialist and they gave me a walking boot - thank God!!
So all week I have been getting used to the boot and crying!! I have to go back next week for follow-up x-rays to make sure the fractures are healing. When I did feel like sitting and posting, my Internet went out for 2 days which brings me to today when it finally came back on. My service provider is changing everything this month, so I'm sure it has something to do with that.
When I saw this stamp set from SU, I fell in love with it. Rachel and I have a long history of eating popsicles together from when she was a little girl. I figured she would love this card which she did. It bought back a lot of good memories.
I used Pool Party for my base card with my first layer of Whisper White 4" x 5 1/4". My layer of Watermelon Wonder is 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" and my DSP measures 3" x 4 1/4". I used my Frozen Treats Dies to cut out my pops in Watermelon Wonder ad More Mustard.
I tied some ribbon around my two layers before I adhered them. Then I popped up my pops with dimensionals and tied some twine around them. My sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set from SU.
The inside sentiment is from Cool Treats as well. Here is a picture of Rachel and her Mom on her birthday. It is hard to believe that she is 17!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I really have no idea where the past week went. I am hoping for some warmeer weather though as I already feel housebound.
I entered this card at Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge #241 - Anything Goes.
