We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend with family and friends! We spent Saturday with my daughter, Jennifer and the rest of the family. They had an open house where my son-in-law works, so all the guys went. He operates a BIG crane so they had a great time!! Sunday, I had everyone at the house, but we ended up spending most of the day inside as it was so hot outside. The guys got toy helicopters to play with and found some shade to play. They never grow up!!
I decided to make some 4th of July cards. I love this holiday - probably because my birthday is July 1st and when I was working I always enjoyed the long holiday! I saw a bunch of cards on Pinterest that I liked and ended up changing them up a bit to use the supplies I have on hand.
Recipe:
Paper - Whisper White, Pacific Point, Glimmer Red & Gold Paper
Ink - Pacific Point
Stamps - SU July Fourth, Gorgeous Grunge
Accessories - Star Framelits, Star Punches
These cards came together so quick. I just layered my paper, then used my Grunge stamp and stamped it 3 times on the layer. I adhered my gold glimmer star I had die cut and then used my punches to add the red glimmer stars.
I used my sentiment stamp - Happy 4th of July on the inside and I was done! Hope everyone is having a good week - it sure is hot here in PA. I guess I shouldn't complain - it's better than snow!!
This time last year we were getting ready to go on vacation to the Outer Banks, in North Carolina. I wish we were going again - I loved it there! So did the kids!

Father's Day Treat Box
Well, this week went fast! The girls are out of school and I thought things would slow down, but NO!! The carnival is in town, the pool is open and everyone wants to go everywhere and it is very HOT!!! I was going to post this AM but then my daughter and Jennifer stopped by for a visit, so of course everything stops and then Sarah started throwing up so it was one of those days! As promised, here is the Treat Box that I made to go with the Father's Day card I posted last week.
I saw this adorable VIDEO on Stamping to Share using my favorite SU stamp set Bear Hugs! I am so glad I purchased this set. I have used it so much for many different occasions. I didn't have the Baker's Box Thinlet she used but remember the VIDEO Pootles Papercraft did making a milk carton. So, I put the two together and put my own twist on it and I loved how it turned out!
Since it was a larger box, I used the larger bear stamping it in Early Espresso. For my grunge colors, I used Early Espresso and Soft Sky. I had some ribbon in my drawer that matched my fish, so I decorated the box with that.
I thought the fish was so cute on the clothespin. For the sentiment, I used the Tea Shoppe set and the matching punch.
Here is the card and the box together. I filled the box with some Swedish Fish, and we are ready to bag them up for Father's Day. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Father's Day Card
Well, it's the start of another week! Over the weekend, I decided I had better start making some cards for Father's Day which will soon be here before we know it. I had seen this cute VIDEO over at French's blog and decided to make some. I really like how they turned out.
I love how the Bow Builder made this cute little bow tie - and the hankie looks so cute!
In her video, Frenchie used ink to color her stripes, but I had some scraps of DSP I decided to use instead and change off the color of the bow ties.
I used my $1 sentiment stamp I had found years ago at Michael's. I have a cute little package to go with them that I am working on and will post later this week. Have a great week!
