Diaper Fold Packaging

Along with the card that I posted for Jennifer to give her Mom, I needed some type of packaging to put her gift in.  I had seen these cute Diaper Folds in all different sizes which was just what I was looking for.  I like checking out Stamping to Share's blog, and she showcased the Diaper Fold in different sizes -  Check out her video.

I made the 10" size and it was perfect for what I needed.  I don't know why I had never seen these before, but I think they are great and will use them again in the future,  I just stuck a bow on the front as I didn't have a lot of time, but you could decorate these in many different ways.  Here is another way to use up some of your scrap/old DSP.

UPDATE:

A blogger friend of mine liked this Diaper Fold post and made a really cute one for Father's Day and another one where she made an adorable Flower Pot card to put inside with some goodies!

Check out her blog and see how cute they turned out - PJ's Projects!

Here is a picture of Rachel and her boyfriend before going to the prom.

I thought this was a cute picture of Rachel and Sarah.

The girls and their Mom were down at LBI - Long Beach Island for the holiday and came home today.  Everyone had a great time and the weather was good.  Jennifer stopped by to see us yesterday and we had a great time. Boy does she like hot dogs and corn on the cob!!   Everyone is growing up way too quickly.  Well, its going to be a short week - thank goodness!

We hope everyone had a great holiday weekend spending time with their family and friends!  Have a great week!

Diagonal Birthday Card

I wanted to make a simple card for Jennifer to give to her Mom for her birthday.  In my search, I came across this VIDEO from Patty's Stamps.  I thought it was perfect for what I wanted.  What a novel idea - and a great way to use up some DSP scraps!  I love how she made different sizes of cards and was able to use so many different sentiments.

I made it fairly simple as I didn't have much time.  I used up some scrap DSP paper for the card and the envelope as well.  I punched some Melon Mambo paper with my Pansy punch and my small scallop in Daffodil Delight.  I had a bunch of embellishments on my desk, and Jennifer found this cute ladybug which she helped me put in the center of the flower.

Jennifer was more than happy to stamp her hand print on the inside of the card and added her thumb prints as well!  I think the Pansy Patch will have a new member soon!!  Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend!

Happy Birthday Card

Hope everyone had a good week!  Things here are really hectic with the end of school soon and Rachel's prom is tonight, so lots going on.  Checking my cards I realized that I didn't post the birthday card I made for my daughter.  I was so happy with how it turned out.  I actually made two of them so I would have one for my stash.

I thought this would be harder to make but surprisingly they came together really well.  I tied the silver string on first and then placed the balloons where I thought I wanted them and then glued down the bottom ones first using dimensionals for the ones I placed over them making sure I gathered all my strings together.  I used my glue dots to tie them together cutting off the extra strings.  I used glue dots again for the bow which helped secure them down better.

Recipe:

Stamps - Party Pack
Paper - Whisper White, DSP, Black & Silver Glimmer
Accessories - Balloon Bouquet Punch, Bow Builder Punch

Well, I had better get going!  Rachel is getting her hair done and will be home soon and everyone's coming here to take pictures before leaving.  I can't believe she is 16 and going to a PROM!!! Where has all the time gone!!

Graduation Gift Box

I needed something for a gift card for another graduation gift, and I saw this tutorial on Splitcoaststampers and decided to make it.  It was so easy to make and quick!

I made this in the school colors.  Love how it turned out!

It was hard to take a picture, but I wanted to give you a close up of the tassel.  I used some twine for my tassel but you can use other threads.  If you don't want the tassel, you have a cute little box for a note and gift card!  As they say - try it you'll like it!

Graduation Card

I have a few graduations coming up, so I thought I would get a jump on some cards.  I saw a similar card like this one on Pinterest and put it together with the supplies/tools that I have.

I wanted a masculine card and thought this fit the bill.  I used the colors for the college - blue and grey.  I only embossed the layer 3/4's of the way to leave room to stamp the sentiment.

This is the inside of the card.  Plain and simple but I liked how it turned out.

Recipe:

Stamps - Perfect Pairings, Botannicals for You
Paper - Brilliant Blue, Brushed Silver, Whisper White
Ink - Pacific Blue
Accessories - Large and small star punches, Embossing Folder
Embellishments - Blue Ribbon from Michael's

We went from heat to air-conditioning - what a crazy season this has been!  The rain is coming back in tomorrow, but Joe hopes to get the garden planted this weekend.  He has never planted this late before.....but the grass loves it!!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Bear Hugs Mother's Day Card

We hope everyone enjoyed their Mother's Day weekend!  I have one more card I made for Jennifer to give her Mom.  I knew I wanted to use the Bear Hugs stamp set from SU, and I was so happy on how it turned out.

I made 2 large bears and glued them together and then curved the paws in so it looked like she was hugging the baby bear.  Jennifer is always wearing bows, so I decided to put a pink bow on the baby bear as well.

Here is the inside of the card.  Jennifer is always outside picking Mom's daffodils, so I decided to use the flower and heart die to decorate the inside.

I used my envelope flap die on this card as well.  Love how it finishes off the card!  Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Paper - Pink Pirouette, Perfectly Artistic DSP, Heavy Whisper White CS

Embellishments - Party Enamel Dots

Mother's Day Tea Card

I needed to make some more cards for Mother's Day and saw this adorable card in Pinterest that Dawn from dostamping made with the new Cuppa Stamp set from SU.  Her link has all the details to make this great card!

I made mine out of Wisteria Wonder and Melon Mambo CS.  The only problem was when I went to stamp my tea cup the stamp did not come out right!!  I tested all the other stamps with the set and they worked fine.  When my husband looked at it he felt that the stamp itself was not raised enough to give me a good image!!  Best laid plans ....... so I decided to go with the other stamp in the bundle which I thought turned out fine.

So instead of saying World's Best Mother the tea cup said you're tea-riffic!  SU is sending me another stamp set so all is well!

I decorated the inside of the card again with DSP which I really like.  Might as well use up all the scraps!

I had always wanted to get the envelope flap die and when I saw it was retiring I decided to go for it!  So this was perfect timing.  Love how it finishes off the card!

I really like this set especially the DSP!  If you need a quick card to make this is definitely the one!  I loved how the little charms looked tied to the cup as well!
